CTC#65 Valentine's Day. Spreading some Timeless Texture love

Welcome back again to the CTC Sunday bloghop. It's February and Valentines day is just around the corner, so that is the focus for our showcase this week. Jump on board and cruise around the hop, and feel free to create a card using the theme and enter our Monthly Challenge. You can use inspiration from any of the challenges for the month of February and link it up at the CTC site here. There are a whole suite of beautiful Valentine's based products in the new Catalogue. Especially if you love Pink! But I have taken a different colour theme this week. I have to admit that I didn't use any specific card as inspiration but just went with the theme. I don't particularly hold with the US tradition of Valentine's cards, only because I think an "I Love You" card should be given when the mood arises and not on a specific date. That being said, we probably don't say it often enough and I really enjoyed making this one. I have used the gorgeous Time...

CTC#41 Everyday section - so much to choose from

Spoilt for choice for inspiration this week! Welcome to the bloghop for CASEing the Catty - using the EVERYDAY section of the catalogue for inspiration. You will have arrived here from the fabulous Rebecca , I know you will have seen some amazing inspiration so for, and you can go right around the circle if this is your first stop . For my inspiration I used the white grateful card on page 87. I used the beautiful leaf image from  World of Dreams  to cover the lefthand flap of the card and then fussy cut around the edges. I do love the Brick Wall embossing folder.  To make the small white flowers stand out I punched them out of Shimmery White card with the Itty Bitty Accents flower punch . The sentiment is one of the handy ones from All Boxed Up. I used the fine metallic silver thread as a highlight and some silver rhinestones. ( the silver peg is only to hold it closed for the photo) Of course I couldn't stop at one colour! So I tried the Summer S...

I can't believe another week has gone by already! But her we are hopping around the CTC crew looking at how many different ideas we all come up with from the inspiration pictures in the Gift Wrap and Packaging section of the catalogue....So Welcome! I'm at the end of the hop since I was late getting organised so you will have seen some beautiful projects on your way here. You may have arrived from Julia's blog. Gifts and Packaging are always fun to paper crafters, and especially so with all the beautiful papers/ tools/ embellishments and fun products availalble. I started with a CASE of a CASE when I fell in love with a little handbag on Bronwyn's Blog from the stamp review crew using the Petite Petals stampset some weeks ago. The instructions originally come from Scrap and stamp with Frenchie   ( here )  and it is a quick little project. My first little bag is made with some of the gorgeous English Garden DSP using old olive and blushing bride as the trims. ...

Awesomely Artistic first play fun

Well my much awaited stamp set arrived and I have had only limited time to play as I have a cardmaking fundraiser on this weekend raising money for the Western Qld Drought Appeal. the theme for the CASEing the CATTY blog hop is Birthday, but I didn't quite CASE any of the Catalogue Birthday prompts but I need a card for a special friend next week. Make sure you hop on over and check out all their birthday inspiration. I just love this set and played with watercolouring and layering using Rose Red, Wild Wasabi,Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake, and used up a few bits and pieces lying on my desk. I can see lots of potential for this lovely set. Here are the two creations. I used Awesomely  Artistic   , Happy Birthday Everyone, and Build a Birthday And the second option and in this one I added the sentiment from another new set All Boxed Up. So many lovely things to play with ! I wish Stampin Up! would bring back the shim...
