Continuation looking back over the last year so I can rework some favourites with new stamps for 2017. Continuing on trend in 2016 has been the watercolour addition to cards which I have always loved. I love my old and new Stampin' Up! stamps and made several  Baby cards  for the markets using retired SU products and current colours The current In Colours are my favourite set and I was lucky enough to have them to play with for creating  display samples for Onstage in May. -  more Watercolouring ! I do love 3D items and constructing paper things so I was really happy with my Afternoon Tea Tree using the  Cuppa and Kettle Thinlits  (so sad they are retired) and making my own little teabags ( and yes they had scented tealeaves in them! My latest favourite 3d item is the Hot Air Balloons  using the Up and Away Thinlits, which are coming with the New Occasions Catalogue in only 2 days time on Jan 4!!! Getting Excited for new th...

Hello and welcome back for this weeks projects. You can find all the CTC blog participants here Pages 34-36 have some sweet projects made using the fabulous Have a Cuppa set  and matching framelits which I resisted buying initially. This is the project we made for mother's Day at March Class. I have CASED the Wisteria Wonder layout of the card at the right of this picture on page 34. For the Class we made one of these fabulous self closing boxes which holds a little selection of tea bags, and the card coordinates for a sweet little Mother's Day Gift.  The teapot sits on a vellum circle, but I needed to layer a patterned vellum over the Vellum cardstock as it needed the extra firmness to be stable. I used the Circles framelits to cut the ring frame from the Shine On Kraft DSP . - this frame hides the glue dots which hold the 2 layers of vellum together. the cute floral Paper is from the Love Blossoms DSP paper stack. Well I was so thrilled - and nervous - about being selected as a display Stamper for Onstage. It's quite wonderful but 6 of the dusting team members from CASEing the Catty were selected. Judy May, Kathryn Mangelsdorf, Rebecca Scurr, Julia Quin, Jess Williams and myself. We all received different products to use. I was lucky enough to be sent all the new colours and 2 new stampsets to play with. I just love the new colours so here are the first lot of photos of cards I made. These use a returning stamp - the wonderful Dahlia. There are not too many background stamps in my collection which are returning so I started with this image for a full colour coverage. Dapper Denim - such a fabulous blue. I love it. Peekaboo Peach - teams beautifully with Pumpkin Pie too Emerald Envy Flirty Flamingo And for some reason I don't have one of Sweet Sugarplum on it's own so here it is teamed with a three tone version. welcome back to this week's episode of CASEing the Catty for another Sunday night. there are so many great inspiration projects in the catalogue and this week we are looking at the Botnaicla Gardens section from pages 26-29. If you get lost you can find the team at the CTC page HERE Luckily the Timelss Textures set is also in this section and I love all the great looks you can achieve with it so I had a bit of fun playing. I took inspiration from two cards on the top left of page 29 I heat embossed the cup with white embossing powder and sponged the Mint Macaron over. The timeless textures underneath has been embossed with clear powder,an cut the teaspoon out of silver foil. For the second card I used both the timeless textures and an old favourite- Flower Shop in Rose Red which looks more obvious...

Hello again. I have a collection of cards and paper creations here using the gorgeous Cups and Kettle Framelits and various techniques. I love the spiral die rolled flowers and was looking for a new way to display them when the Afternoon Tea Tree was born. The roses are created from Very Vanilla and the gorgeous rose leaves are from the new Rose Wonder Thinlits . I used an old teapot made for me by a friend and the fine shape of the teapot matches the fineness of the twigs from my garden. I did use lots of hot glue to assemble the tree. The teapots and teacups are tied on using Linen Thread or Whisper White Bakers Twine , and I made a series of Teabags from the Pretty Petals paper stack to match. I was inspired by the colour scheme from the Pretty Petals paper pack and I love the Shine On DSP. The Watermelon Wonder on the Kraft card tones well with the Calypso Coral from the DSP, and you can never say no to the sparkle of silver(!) so it was great to use some ...
