Social stamping to say Thankyou

Hi there, and welcome to another fun Saturday of Social Stamping, hosted by the gorgeous Kelly Kent. Kelly is in WA but she's assembled a group of stamping friends from all over, and this week's theme is "Thank You", and I am grateful to be able to connect with such lovely friends -together but apart as our new normal seems to be. I have many things to be thankful for. I am most grateful for my beautiful family. I am also thankful that I have a creative hobby to help relieve some worry and concern this week. We might all need more of that in the months to come- lucky I have a well stocked craft room ! I really enjoyed painting these flowers, mixing inks as I went. It was the wee hours of the morning when I couldn't sleep and it really relaxed me. The background piece is a watercolour wash with a mix of inks too, and it came up well with some highlight stamping before I ran it through the embossing folder. CI#71 Positive Thoughts

Welcome back, colour palette #71 and what gorgeous colours. Highland Heather, Pool Party, Pear Pizazz and Grey Granite. The new year is well under way and summer has been very harsh this year with bushfires and crazy weather. I hope you and your family and friends are safe. With so much tragedy around us there is a definite need for some Positive Thoughts, so it has been nice to play with some cool colours and escape reality for a little while- I really believe craft is good therapy! The gorgeous Maiden Hair Fern image in this set is so delicate. and now that there are dies available with the Coordination Product Release it really is a must have set for me. The feather thinlits cut out both the stamped image and a larger embossed piece, and the little leaves look stunning cut from foil. I spritzed the fern image with water before stamping and ended up with a lovely watercolour background. I didn't want too much of the Highland Heather flower dominating the delicate fern...

CTC#235, CASEing the layout on p159

Welcome back for week #235! I'm struggling to fit everything in at the moment but I do love a layout challenge, so I couldn't let this go by without jumping in. This great layout is open to lots of different results I can't wait to see what the rest of the design team have come up with, and I'd love to see your take on it too so be sure and add a photo of your card to our facebook page. I missed out on playing with the colours from the gorgeous Pressed Petals DSP last week and I've been itching to use my new Very Versailles stamp set, so this is what I came up with- of course I couldn't stop at one card!! I didn't want to try lining up the cross stitch element is a straight line so I used some of the edge pieces from the laser cut paper instead. I embossed the centre panels with the Subtle EF for more effect and stability and I love how they turned out. AND I'm really glad I bought the mini library clips- they are super cute and you ...
