What a wonderful time we had at class yesterday. Lots of fancy folds. This one was the trickiest but everyone created a beautiful card. We just took it step by step. You can cut the cardstock from one sheet of A4 cardstock. There are a number of steps to add the DSP. Then you cut a large and small circle to create the frames. We all put a little posy of flowers in the centre of the frame. It's such a lovely surprise when you open the card up. The belly band holds the card closed. You don't want this to be too tight. The gorgeous Wildflower Birthday Paper is so easy to use for these cards, and the press out elements make it easy to decorate. The boldest DSP is best at the back of the frames.  Time to say Farewell to this group of In Colours. I will miss Boho Blue and Pebbled Path - easily my favourites. Moody Mauve will also be missed but I have to admit I have rarely used Wild Wheat, and almost never opened Copper Clay, so I won't miss those. I know Wild Wheat has been popular with many, but it never really made it to the front row in my craft space! Though I didn't love Wild Wheat, I must say that blending blue and yellow (ie Boho Blue and Wild Wheat) to give green worked really well for the leaves in both these cards. Tonights post is sharing a very special Blog Hop!  We're a group of stamping friends that are celebrating Bron's 60th Birthday in 2022 with six blog hops, over six months, with six fun themes! This months theme is   "CASEing the Catty from a Page in the Sixties"   Well I haven't been able to participate at all so far in Bron's Birthday Blog hops and I was determined to join in this week. Knowing that Bronwyn loves Blue I've used that as a base, and knowing that she loves moving cards I wanted to create one of those. So I have loosely CASE'd the bottom left card with the large title word over strips of DSP. My Father in Law celebrates his 90th birthday soon so this will be for him - keep going Bron, your 66% of the way there! I'm not sure where I saw this fold originally, so my apologies to the original designer, as I have only saved the metric measurements when I redesigned it for our Australian dimensions. But this is a fabulous card to make- easy and with a wow factor- AND it showcases some gorgeous paper. I'm not sure what it is called but it has a pop up element and a swing element so I'm calling it a Pop-Up Swing Card. You can see some new paper from the Harvest Meadow suite, and the flowers are from the Sale-A Bration thinlits. And of course you need a spot for your message, and the back is just the place. This is version 2 with the papers reversed inside to outside, and different configurations of the flowers. Well I'm too late for the link up for Freshly Made Sketches but here is my card anyway! Card making just seems to have taken a back seat lately... This is a really cute and simple fold with a surprise pop up in the middle, quick and easy to make. It folds flat to fit in a regular envelope for posting. I again have Julie Davison to thank for the inspiration and directions. You can find her sample here One difference I did utilise was embossing just the front of the card, and I used the fabulous  Softly Falling embossing folder which is new in the occasions Catalogue which has just been launched this week. Well I love Easter and I love flowers, and I love little boxes. So when I saw a cute little box of hearts on Pinterest I knew I had to try something similar. The challenge at CASEing the Catty is to create an Easter project, and the theme at The Challenge is Anything Goes for their one year anniversary, so I am entering these in both of those. they fit right into a regular C6 envelope and don't require any additional postage ! bonus! Since my family all live far away I made a dozen of these to send to them all. I stamped the Love is Kindness image with soft suede and coloured the tulips using either blendabilities or ink and my blender pen. They looked too stark with only the white background so I used my aqua painter to give a watercolour wash background before I cut them out. The Mini Treat boxes are a perfect size to fit into an envelope, and I constructed a little bridge from Kraft cardstock to adhere the flowers to. Then they only needed a little bit o...

I have been playing with the Scallop Tag Topper punch- which I love - and found some inspiring pictures on Pinterest (Of course!!). I quite like the Love card made byLeanne Pugliese here  at Wee Inklings, so i have made one too. I have used Early Espresso Cardstock and ink,  and Tangerine Tango ink, with DSP from the Venetian Romance set. I can't believe it has taken me nearly a whole year to get some of this paper, it's so beautiful, and now it is going to retire in only a few weeks. You can order your set from my online store. I don't have any current large alphabet stamps but the Lovely Letters seemed perfect.I have also used Petite Petals stamp and Punch, Simply Sketched Hostess set( also about to retire), sentiment from One in a Million (also on the goodbye list) as well a a very old sentiment from a forgotten set. I am also quite happy with my rolled newsprint roses. Now I need to make a box to fit it in, but that will be easy with my Envelope Punch Board ...
