Techniques with White Ink - Emboss Resist on Coloured Card

There are several great techniques using White Pigment Ink. At a recent event I demonstrated a few of them including: ( well it's a while ago now!)     * Direct stamping with White onto coloured cardstock     *Offset stamping     *Bokeh technique     *Painting with White Ink     *Emboss Resist It has taken me a while to share these samples, I'll post them over a few days. I hope you give some of these techniques a try. So this is a bit of a different approach to Emboss Resist. Often it is done with White, or Metallic , or Black and then coloured ink is blended over the embossing to make the stamped image jump forward. ( usually on a neutral cardbase ) This technique uses a different approach. Step 1. I stamped the leaves (from Changing Leaves) with Versamark and then used Clear Embossing Powder. When heat set the image take on a much deeper tone of the base coloured card. Stamp plenty of images to create a background pattern. Ste...

Changing Leaves copper embossing on watercolour background

I posted a card using the fabulous Changing Leaves 3D Hybrid folder for Colour INKspiration #168 back in June of this year (2024). I created some alternative samples at the time because I was having such a good time using it. This is one that also did not get shared with you at the time. I have used the copper from the amazing Metallics WOW! - Embossing Powders  which are a new formulation and much improved on the previous type. The watercolours are added after I embossed the leaves and they look so pretty. I just love the texture and detail from the embossing folder - and of course I do love a square card!  Thanks for stopping by today, perhaps this might inspire you to create and send a card to someone who might love a little note to brighten their day - I know I always love it! I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

Alternative sample with Changing Leaves - simple stamping with Pretty in Pink

This is a card I made a little while ago but hadn't got around to sharing, I hope you like it. The fabulous Changing Leaves set is a hybrid bundle - you can purchase the stamp set alone or combine it with the Hybrid 3D embossing folder and the dies which cut and emboss the 3 large leaves all at once. I have used that for the textured maple shape leaf in a recycled cardstock in this example. The Background is simply stamped using the medium leaf sprig and some Pretty in Pink ink. I also stamped one of the sentiment stamps randomly on the background piece just for some interest.  The circles are diecut using the Everyday Details dies  Add a little bit of linen thread with your crumb cake cardstock and you have a very simple but striking card. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you find some inspiration to create something lovely. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

Techniques with White Pigment Ink - Offset Stamping

There are several great techniques using White Pigment Ink. At a recent event I demonstrated a few of them including:     * Direct stamping with White onto coloured cardstock     *Offset stamping     *Bokeh technique     *Painting with White Ink     *Emboss Resist It has taken me a while to share these samples, I'll post them over a few days. I hope you give some of these techniques a try. Offset stamping is very easy, and has a great effect.  Simply stamp your image in the White Pigment Ink.  Wait for it to dry completely, then stamp the same image in a strong colour but moved only slightly to one side. This gives a great shadow effect. This one probably could have been closer together, but it looks ok once it's made into a card. I used the fabulous Changing Leaves stampset for these cards. I love the clean lines in this image. The 3D Hybrid folder is pretty clever to emboss the leaves and cut them at the same time. "don...

Sneak Peak Changing Leaves Online Exclusive 3D folder coming July 3 for Colour INKspiration #168

I have a new colour palette here for the latest Colour INKspiration challenge, AND I have some brand new stamps, dies and 3D embossing folder. I just HAD to play along this week. How is it already June? .... the END of June? I'm so happy I got a project together for this week's challenge, it's been too long since I could commit to participating. As a Demonstrator one of the perks is getting new stuff before it is officially available to the public. You can get this set early too, if you are already a demonstrator, or you join my team and put this in your starter kit.  I am always drawn to nature sets, and particularly leaves as I sold my last set and then regretted it! Changing Leaves has 3 leaf image stamps which are a good size for a feature on your card, and 5 sentiment stamps in a simple uncluttered font. There are dies to cut the outlines of the 3 leaves ( in one large single die ) 3 stitched labels and a few detailed leaf dies, as well as a smaller cluster of 3 tiny l...
