Hello, it's such a busy time of year this was a super quick project to add to my stash of gifts for Christmas. I love the copper tea tins for sets of cards, they look so great packaged up and I had quite a few at the markets recently. This one uses one of the coming stamp sets which we received at Onstage."Incredible Like You" I think these make lovely appreciation, birthday or encouragement cards so I have left the inside blank I have used Soft Sea Foam, Blueberry Bushel, Garden Green and Melon Mambo on a base of Grey Granite. I was inspired by the decorated tins on page 14 of the annual catalogue. The front of the tin has a 3 x 3 square which is indicative of the cards inside, and the tin is wrapped in a strip of 2" DSP.  I can;t believe it but I've now run out of 3 x 3 envelopes! so this ended up as a set of 6 - usually I do 8. Everyone needs a stash of standby cards in the cupboard. I have been working on some sets of simple birthday cards - 2 male and 2 female. These are lovely with the wooden elements, bright colours and a simple sentiment.   The insides are decorated and all the envelopes are stamped to match each colour card  They come packaged in a cello box of 4 cards. I'll have these sets and many more all occasion cards available at the Christmas Markets this weekend. Just thought I'd quickly share this card design which I will have for sale at the coming Christmas markets: October 28 Biloela November 17/18 Emerald I knew I had to have this set as soon as I saw it. It's called "Half full"  and has lots of sentiments suitable for all year around, but the Christmas sentiment is perfect. I have a striking Christmas apron with the same words which I've had for many years. So the set was a no brainer for me. I purchased an extra bottle of the fine tip glue pen and coloured some glue with a few drops of So Saffron. The image is stamped in Basic Gray and then coloured with the glue. You just need to let it dry overnight. It adds just the right amount of dimension. And again I prefer to stamp the sentiment onto a scrap and punch it out to avoid stamping crooked images on the "good copy". In this case the 1" and 11/4" were perfect. Welsome to this week's challenge0- usingany of the kits as inspiration for your project. The kits are fabulous but it was an easy choice for me. I fell i love with the beautiful Hello Friend stamp set on page 17 of the annual catalogue. And while I haven't purchased the kit, I have had the stampset for quite a while and I have been inspired by the cards shown in the kit. Flirty Flamingo Emerald Envy Real Red Peekaboo Peach This card sort of gets a bit lost in the photo but it was really fun to make. I heat embossed onto shimmer paper because I prefer the look you get with watercolour wash on the shimmer.  Two of the cards is stamped and cut out the flowers, but 2 are just stamped directly which was much faster. The hardest part was tying those little twine bows! but they do add a little pizazz. This is a set for the coming Christmas market stalls. I am loving the new acetate boxes. I always hope to participate in the GDP challenges as I think they are awesome, but I seem to seldom get my ideas translated into a card and then a blog.......it happened again that I got the inspiration and the creation but somehow the photo and blog just didn't happen in time. But I'm posting this anyway. ( and I've already given the card away!) For this weeks challenge (Well ok last week's challenge)  I am inspired to CASE one of my favourite designers from their team - the lovely Jess Williams who was one of our original members at CASEing the Catty. She has a beautiful style and I love her work.  She does some amazing watercolour so I have used her card as inspiration. Thanks Jess. My card is an easel card and is nice and bright. Continuation looking back over the last year so I can rework some favourites with new stamps for 2017. Continuing on trend in 2016 has been the watercolour addition to cards which I have always loved. I love my old and new Stampin' Up! stamps and made several  Baby cards  for the markets using retired SU products and current colours The current In Colours are my favourite set and I was lucky enough to have them to play with for creating  display samples for Onstage in May. -  more Watercolouring ! I do love 3D items and constructing paper things so I was really happy with my Afternoon Tea Tree using the  Cuppa and Kettle Thinlits  (so sad they are retired) and making my own little teabags ( and yes they had scented tealeaves in them! My latest favourite 3d item is the Hot Air Balloons  using the Up and Away Thinlits, which are coming with the New Occasions Catalogue in only 2 days time on Jan 4!!! Getting Excited for new th...
