Camera in a Box

I made this card earlier in the year for a good friend. I just discovered I neglected to post it, and I don't seem to have any directions and measurements recorded anywhere here!! I love the Card in a Box format and this post includes directions and measurements - with thanks to others as I have borrowed pictures from on the web!! There is a lot of cutting and prepping but the effort is worth it. This is a cool video with the basics here How to make a pop up card box tutorial FREE Card Template - YouTube You can decorate each of the panels which are highlighted with one or 2 layers. layers: cut 2 each: 2"     ' x 5 7/8" 1 7/8" x 5 3/4" cut 3 each: 2"       x 2 5/8" 1 7/8" x  2 1/2" 2"       x 3" 1 7/8" x 2 7/8" Happy stamping, Liz

It might be Big & Golden but in the end 50 is only a number! JAI#301

So I have had the pleasure of making a milestone birthday card for one of my beautiful sisters and the Large Numbers Framelits Dies were so handy. The gold foil looked fabulous and I was really happy with the gorgeous marble paper (retired, SAB- Perfectly Artistic DSP )to put behind it. I have used lots of different elements to create this including the World Traveler Textured Embossing Folder, the deco labels framelits, the fabulous Party Popup Thinlits Dies  for the inside. She makes the most gorgeous pop up cards so the inside had to be a little bit special too. Hers are much more elaborate moving creations but I think she'll like this coming from me! There is a touch of Artistically Awesome on the base layer too, some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the heart and some gold cord. As well there are lots of other non Stampin' Up! bits and pieces. I'm also entering this card for the Just Add Ink challenge#301-just add numbers. The large numbers are perfe...

On Stage a Display Samples - Love, Love, Love the new colours!

Well I was so thrilled - and nervous - about being selected as a display Stamper for Onstage. It's quite wonderful but 6 of the dusting team members from CASEing the Catty were selected. Judy May, Kathryn Mangelsdorf, Rebecca Scurr, Julia Quin, Jess Williams and myself. We all received different products to use. I was lucky enough to be sent all the new colours and 2 new stampsets to play with. I just love the new colours so here are the first lot of photos of cards I made. These use a returning stamp - the wonderful Dahlia. There are not too many background stamps in my collection which are returning so I started with this image for a full colour coverage. Dapper Denim - such a fabulous blue. I love it. Peekaboo Peach - teams beautifully with Pumpkin Pie too Emerald Envy Flirty Flamingo And for some reason I don't have one of Sweet Sugarplum on it's own so here it is teamed with a three tone version. I think the Flamingo, Peach and Sugarplum together ...

CTC#70 CASEing the Sale -a Bration Sketches

HI again, and welcome back to CTC - can you believe we are up to #70 already? This week we are using the Sale-a-Bration catalogues again- not too many more weeks and it will be over again for another year, but there is still time to get your favourite set for free with your $90 purchase. You may have come from Jackie's blog  or you maybe starting here. Sit back and enjoy the projects. I have chosen the sketch on the front page of the supplement for the recent releases - the same sketch as Julia this week, but with quite a different result. This is the first time I have inked up this lovely set and I really enjoyed the layering. My roses are done in Pink Pirouette as the base, Blushing Bride second, and Rose Red for the top detail, while the leaves are Mint Macaron and Cucumber Crush. I think the collage stamping suits a 90th birthday - what do you think? And just to decorate the inside, a little touch of collage stamping with some added Timeless Texture. ...
