Showing posts with the label Hello Doily

A few wedding cards- it's that time of year!

I make quite a lot of wedding cards but they don't always get written about, so I thought I would showcase a little collection of different styles and samples, some using lots of Stampin' Up! Producers, some a little less. Made using a Sheltering Tr ee, and the mini flower punch. Irresistibly Yours DS P paper and Expressions Naturals Elements Ellen Hutson flower dies,  Expressions Naturals Elements , text Rmbossing Folder Made using the Striped Scallops Thinlits Die and layering 2 sheets on top of each other. Using Hello Doily, and a card and box made from Kraft cardstock. I used the Envelope Punchn Board and the great Box Wizard from A Crafty Owl to get the perfect dimension so that the box was deep enough to not squash the little cluster of flowers (and bits and bobs). It's a shame they don't still make the Mr & Mrs stamp I do love the Lattice Die , Well there are quite a few more ...

Making cards using scraps - my Convention Swaps

Just heading home from Stampin' Up! convention in Melbourne and it was a whole new experience for me. I learnt so much and met so many people I have seen as an online presence which was really nice. The US team who presented sessions were all very enthusiastic and energetic and so friendly. I do love the atmosphere of sharing - ideas, support, techniques and wisdom. The culture within the complany is quite amazing."Inspire, Create, Share" I managed to complete a few swaps and thought I would share.  I have quite a stash of leftover scraps as I am hopeless at throwing out things so have tried to create something that makes use of all those strips. These are made using strips of various width crumb cake, all embossed with different folders and lightly sponged. There are some panels cut from the white heat embossed Hello Doilly stamp.( I am really sad that this is retiring soon, so get in touch if you want your own, it's a must have!) I have adhered all the stri...

Just Add Ink#209 - Just Add Layers

White heat embossed Hello Doily stamp on crumb cake, mounted on Early Espresso Cardstock, layered up on a Soft Sky card base which I embossed for some added texture. The Happy Birthday sentiment from Label Love is heat embossed with the Pool Party embossing powder, sponged with Soft Sky ink and layered up on soft Sky and Early Espresso C'ordinations cardstock which has been sanded. The little flower is made using the Boho blossoms punch and the layers are held together with the flat base brad topped with a little pearl. The pool party twine from the Sale-a-Bration pack works well too. A few little sequins and pearls for bling, and the leaf image from Summer Silhouettes to finish it off. The leaves have a few silver ink highlights added. thanks for looking, Liz

Framed Art #3 - Imagine, Inspire, Create

Well I was quite pleased with how this one turned out. My Favourite Doily stamp was heat embossed with white powder onto some Primrose Petals paper and then embellished with a selection of buttons and some seam binding ribbon. I used the Loving Thoughts stamps for the words of inspiration, and I stamped the mat border with French Foliage in Crumb Cake which i then sponged over the images. The pink scroll is a tag cut from some of the Print Poetry paper.  thanks for looking, Liz

Hello Doily Mother's Day and a wedding card

I have recently purchased the  Hello Doily  stamp after seeing it used by a customer for her wedding invitations. It was stunning. So I have been playing with embossing the image with the Pewter Embossing  Powder. It's beautiful . This card uses Regal Rose card stock as the base, embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder in the big shot. The doily is heat embossed on Crumb Cake card stock. I didnt have any seam binding left so died some white taffeta ribbon with crumb cake ink and loosely gathered it onto a piece of sticky strip.  Hemp thread, a crystal button and some of the soft Flower Trim roses which have been sponged with Regal Rose were added. Lastly I stamped a butterfly from  Kindness Matters  and 2 leaves from  French Foliage  in Certainly Celery, which I hand cut out and mounted with dimensionals. Happy mothers day is   is stamped from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set. I will miss the Regal Rose colour when it retires...
