TCTC#10 with a sketch from FMS#227

Hello again, I am so happy to have a card for you using the fabulous colours at The colour Tree Challenge#10. It's a beautiful neutral colour palette and perfect for a masculine thankyou which I was asked to make. I love the leaf image form the World of Dreams set and the sentiment is from one of the Sale-A- ration sets which you can still earn, Perfect  Pairings . I had to hunt for some chocolate chip as I don't own the ink, but was really happy to find some old DSP. The colour does tone very nicely with the Tip Top Taupe. Chocolate Chip is not a shade that sees too much use lately,so it's nice to see it out on display! Thanks for looking, please have a go at creating a project using the colour inspiration and we would love you to link up to the challenge. Liz

CTC#41 Everyday section - so much to choose from

Spoilt for choice for inspiration this week! Welcome to the bloghop for CASEing the Catty - using the EVERYDAY section of the catalogue for inspiration. You will have arrived here from the fabulous Rebecca , I know you will have seen some amazing inspiration so for, and you can go right around the circle if this is your first stop . For my inspiration I used the white grateful card on page 87. I used the beautiful leaf image from  World of Dreams  to cover the lefthand flap of the card and then fussy cut around the edges. I do love the Brick Wall embossing folder.  To make the small white flowers stand out I punched them out of Shimmery White card with the Itty Bitty Accents flower punch . The sentiment is one of the handy ones from All Boxed Up. I used the fine metallic silver thread as a highlight and some silver rhinestones. ( the silver peg is only to hold it closed for the photo) Of course I couldn't stop at one colour! So I tried the Summer S...

#creativerelief, Thanks to all the generous folk who supported this.

Saturday June 13 saw 26 participants making cards and having a great afternoon raising funds for the Western Qld Drought Appeal. Many of the ladies had never tried card making but everyone had a lovely afternoon and went home with 4 cards they had made themselves. These were the cards I designed. Each table had a Stampin Up demonstrator from my little team guiding and assisting, and participants moved from table to table working at their own pace. My beautiful Mum and her cousin came up on the train from Nambour to Rockhampton to help and they ran the Crafternoon Tea buffet superbly. Mutidraw prizes Some of the donated cards which sold like hotcakes! Another Mother and Daughter team of Happy Stampers Silent Auction from the SU Donation Box Thanks to TCC who donated the use of the hall My beautiful Mum and me. Stamping Up donated a box of goodies which I was able to make into loads of prize packs, and lots of people donated other raffle goods fo...

CTC#32 Sneak Peak Blog Hop

Well the excitement is building as we approach the launch of the new catalogue on June 2. As demonstrators we are able to purchase a small selection of what will be available in the month before so we can give you a sneak peak of what's in store. You may have come from Emma's blog. Emma is a new member of the team and it's great to have her on board. It's easy to continue around the loop to see what the design team have all been inspired to play with from their new toys - new colours, new stamps, new punches, new paper, new products. I have to confess I wasn't sure where to start, but thought I would show you a great new product- Envelope Paper ! Ir's text-weight paper made especially for making envelopes. It comes in 12 x 12" sheets in a  pack of 20 for $10.50 and while it comes in two colour options I bought the new In Colour pack rather than the neutrals. It is not as heavy as the regular DSP and therefore folds more easily with less likelihood of tea...

CTC#29 occasions Catalogue Card Sketch Blog Hop

Well this is a very different Post for me - I have been invited to be part of the CASEing the Catty Blog hop. It's such an honour, all the CTC team are so creative, and I'm really excited to be part of this. You will have arrived here from Helen Heil, be sure to stop and see all the blog hop members.  If you get lost  you can find them all here . The next in line is  Tricia .  The Next blog button at the bottom of the page isn't working so you will need to come back to here to progress around the blog links. All the Stampin' Up! catalogues have amazing samples and projects to inspire. This week we are using the sketch from page 22. I do love all those cards and have made some similar with the Sheltering Tree set, but for this I wanted to try something different. It's funny how some challenges give you have oodles of ideas and I can produce something in a snap….. not this time for me, but I persevered and   tried numerous things with this sket...

World of Dreams , FMS#175

World of Dreams is a really beautiful stamp set. I have already entered a gift tag for FMS#175, and this one again has the sketch upside down, but it seemed to work best for this image. This simple design uses sponging and several of the current In Colours. Mossy Meadow for the plant, Blackberry Bliss ribbon -which ties so easily and sits nicely every time, and some Lost Lagoon sponging for  the moon, layered up on the beautiful Kraft Cardstock. thanks for looking, Liz Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

JAI #233 -Sketch Challenge

The sketch Challenge  this week at  Just Add Ink   use s trio of objects- one of my favourite type of layouts.  I have been wanting to do a window card for a while so this was a good opportunity. I have used the beautiful Mossy Meadow as the ink and the highlights. I have used 2 different sized circle punches to achieve the frame effect and the gorgeous "World of Dreams" stamp set.  I love the new Lovely Lace embossing folder design used in the base layer. This panel was lightly sponged with Pistachio Pudding and I love the effect. My sentiment wouldn't quite fit at the bottom so it's just a little tag at the side, with an old fave- the safety pin. Don't forget to check out the JAI website and the design team samples.  Thanks for looking, Liz

SUO #106 fall colours

Well it's spring here in Queensland but I do remember how beautiful Fall is in Northern countries so it was lovely to create using these tones. I am entering this card in the SUO challenges #106. Head over to the Stampin' Up! Only website to see some of the other great cards. I have used So Safron as my base and background DSP colours but have stamped the leaf image using Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry with the pen direct to rubber technique.  It is always fun to get 2 tones on one image. I used some so saffron ink and some of the ink left in the stamps to colour my piece of seam binding ribbon. The great sentiment is from the hostess gift for this month " Good Greetings" And I used up a few embellishments from my stash - wooden button, Cajun craze button, safety pin and timber arrow (from a project life kit). I do love the "World of Dreams" stamp set. It's so,versatile. The inside:  thanks for looking, Liz
