JAI #230 Just Add DAD and PPA#218

This weekend was Father's Day here in Australia, and Just Add Dad is the challenge for Just Add Ink this week.  You can check out the great cards by the design team here . This simple banner card was one of the designs I made for Father's Day this year for my stall at  The Handmade Expo Markets. I had forgotten how much I like stitching on cards - the effort of getting the machine out is really worth it!  Sahara Sand and the Champagne Glimmer Paper work well with the Hello Honey. I am also entering this in the Pals Paper Arts Challenge  which is a colour challenge this week. There's a tiny bit of blackberry bliss in the fabulous DSP. Fathers Day accordion Tag Fold card

I had. A lot of fun making this style of card. It is not my original design and I am grateful to Linda Higgins who has made a tutorial on her website. She uses both cm and inches in her measurements but I find it confusing switching between the two.  So here are my measurements in all metric: Take an A4 piece of cardstock and cut it vertically down the middle at 10.5cm - this is the metric standard card width I use all the time. Trim one of these pieces to 9cm width and score this piece in half at 14.8cm. This will be your card front. I have decorated this piece with the tree from Look Up to Father. Score the remaining piece at 1.5cm, (for first Tab - will be glued to inside of card front)  then 4 panels that are 6.5cm wide. i.e. score at 1.5, 8, 14.5, 21, 27.5 , the remaining small section will be your second tab to glue to inside of card back. mark the midpoint of each of the 6.5cm panels and slide the scallop tag topper punch all the way in lining up the midpoint of...
