Merriest Moments and Gingerbread M &M cards

Christmas Card class project 3 was made using the fabulous Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More cards (p9), and a Poinsettia stamped from the Memories and More set. Two small pieces of the gorgeous Cherry Cobbler and Gold 1/2'Ribbon are anchored under the flower which is popped up on a dimensional.  The sentiment is Heat Embossed in white directly onto the card front. In researching Poinsettia plants it appears the green leaves are the same shape and structure as the flowers, so the holly leaf, the pine branch and the round leaf stem seem wrong for the flower. So we are using the Poinsettia flower stamped in green for the leaves.   We stamped one large Poinsettia in the Real Red, and one small flower in Just Jade. It is easy to die cut the flowers and then snip the small green flower into 6 individual leaves which you can then poke in at the appropriate angles under the large red flower.   When you die cut the stamped flowers,  cut 2 small flower ce...

Season's Blessings and new catalogue products

Each new catalogue always contains a set of pre-printed cards and envelopes that are perfect for creating quick and easy cards. Often they coordinate with a suite or some Memoreis and More cards. This time it's a set that utilises the Kraft colour tones. It is fabulous to see the return of Kraft cardstock - but it is only in 6 x 6 . I have used the Season's Blessings set again and the new "Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More Cards and Envelopes". The card is a not as heavy as Kraft cardstock and the image is preprinted on the front. The background is a mottled stoney look which will work with many colours. You can see the envelope in the background. These will be very versatile. You can see more samples using this set here and here There's loads of great new products, what's your favourite? I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

Kelly's Social Stamping - "Change"- the ephemeral theme

Welcome back for another round of Kelly's Social Stamping- a group hop by a bunch of stampers gathered together by everyone's friend Kelly. It's a privilege to know Kelly, she is such a gorgeous soul gathering friends from near and far to share inspiration, friendship and creativity- and a sense of connection. I have thoroughly enjoyed this Covid inspired connection.  Our theme for this week is change- and what a vast topic that is- we have all been surrounded by change for months now and it is not an easy challenge. But as the posters keep reminding us "We are all in this together".    One of the biggest places for change has been the workplace, and a lovely friend of mine has been nursing for many years and finished work this week. She has cared for countless patients with her gentle manner and nurtured many nurses and doctors along the way. She has been the breadwinner for her family after emigrating from the UK and work simply won't be the same without he...

CTC#231 CASE Anything!!! My catalogue my inspiration

Welcome back for the last weekend of the 'old' Catalogues. It is so exciting that we will have a new catalogue of amazing products to be inspired by going forward. But today is time for one last look back and we can CASE anything. So I am showcasing a project I made using the fabulous Memories and More Cards. I am always inspired by all the gorgeous gift wrapping and presentations in all the Stampin Up publications so I wanted to try my hand at making a bag and tag. I have wanted to create a handbag for quite a while so I found plenty of Youtube clips to show the basic method. As usual though the sizes were perfect for US size cards and the bag was too small for our regular C6. So I did a tiny bit of maths and created these which are big enough to hold the Memories and More cards. This was perfect for whipping up a quick set.   My project sort of started with this tag from the inspiration picture and you can see there is one of these tags on each of the "handbag...

Bloom By Bloom Memories and More quick and Easy cards

The Happiness Blooms suite contains lots of gorgeous elements. The Memories and More cards are perfect for creating quick cards, the mix of large and small cards is so bright and happy, and many of the small cards can be placed directly onto the larger cards or straight onto the gorgeous navy notecards with their stylish matching envelopes which are lined with navy and white stripes. The card pack also contains 4 sheets of adhesive elements- including sentiments and flowers which make instant cards. I simply added a mix of baker's twine, ribbon, some extra sentiments and a few birthday candles from my stash to add a little texture but these were super easy. The little punches coordinate with some of the printed daisies in the DSP and also in some of the M&M cards. And these next 6 are the mini size. I have just added some extra ribbon and twine. I hope you'll give these a try, I am planning to make some in a class soon. To see the products in more ...
