Well I hope you have all had a Happy Easter. I certainly did and ran out of time for crafting before the weekend, so I am quite late to join the Colour Tree Challenge for this week. However, the colours are so gorgeous that I did make 2 cards which I would love to share with you. I love the new Timeless Textures stamp set and all the amazing effects you can achieve with it. I think it particularly lends itself to masculine cards too. Mossy Meadow is such a strong colour it certainly looks great cut as the leaf skeleton from the Rose Wonder thinlits . Mossy Meadow will be retiring along with Lost Lagoon in only a few short months and I will be sad to see them go, so make sure you have your ink refills before the stock runs out. It was a good opportunity to use up some thick bakers twine in those colours, and some timber flags from an old Project Life kit too. Can you believe it? I'm a guest designer??, and what gorgeous colours to play with. Thanks so much to Bronwyn for all her inspiration. I think this lovely combo is perfect for a mother's day card. I love watercolouring on Shimmery White cardstock, it gives such lovely fluid backgrounds. And of course you can stamp on them too, here I used the timeless textures while it was wet. And Gold simply has to be heat embossed, so once I had the gold butterfly it was easy to colour with a blender pen and Soft Sky ink. The gold glimmer washing tape from the sale-a-bration specials makes it so easy. The little flower is from the Rose Garden thinlits and was cut from shimmery white cardstock too. There's a little watercolour panel behind it but it needed some glitter to bring it to life! Welcome from Rachel's beautiful blog This week we are CASEing the Love Blossoms section of the Catalogue which is such an amazing section of the Catalogue with loads of ideas and gorgeous products.  I fell in love with the Rose Garden Bundle so have chosen to CASE this for you, using Blushing Bride over Pink Pirouette and layered up on Sahara Sand. The burlap ribbon is so on trend with weddings currently and it blends nicely with the soft pinks. I have to say that the Fine Tip Glue Pen was a must for this project. How did I manage without it? I have used some Embroidery Thread in the right tone as I wanted pink rather than linen on this project. For the second card I repeated last week's tip about wrapping the Patterned Vellum around the plain card base for a softer look. The tiny sentiment is from a very old but still much loved set called Tiny Tags, but you could easily use any sentiment you liked for this layout...

Hello again. I have a collection of cards and paper creations here using the gorgeous Cups and Kettle Framelits and various techniques. I love the spiral die rolled flowers and was looking for a new way to display them when the Afternoon Tea Tree was born. The roses are created from Very Vanilla and the gorgeous rose leaves are from the new Rose Wonder Thinlits . I used an old teapot made for me by a friend and the fine shape of the teapot matches the fineness of the twigs from my garden. I did use lots of hot glue to assemble the tree. The teapots and teacups are tied on using Linen Thread or Whisper White Bakers Twine , and I made a series of Teabags from the Pretty Petals paper stack to match. I was inspired by the colour scheme from the Pretty Petals paper pack and I love the Shine On DSP. The Watermelon Wonder on the Kraft card tones well with the Calypso Coral from the DSP, and you can never say no to the sparkle of silver(!) so it was great to use some ...

Just a super quick post to catch the deadline for Just Add Ink. Its's their 300th Challenge and I have been trying to get to play along for weeks now. I have been making predominantly square cards so this one was square too. Love the watercolour effects you can get with the shimmery white paper., And I think Bermuda Bay is one of my favourite colours. The rose cutout is adhered over the top of  piece of watercolour paper which I had been experimenting with. It was on the scrap heap initially but looked much better with the thinlit over the top. Just a super quick post to get this card lodged in time with FMS before I go away on a little trip. Using the colours from TCTC#2   And the theme challenge from the paper players. The colours are the base of the new paper stack Love Blossoms and there are so many great papers in this stack but I settled on these two. The card central panel is made using the inlaid embossing technique, using blushing bride flowers cut with the new Rose Garden framelits, adhered to the crumb cake and then the entire panel was embossed using the now retired script folder. I added some extra sponging using a dauber for a little more depth. And of course with all things Valentine you need some sparkle. so the Wink of Stella is painted generously onto the blossoms. the What I love Sale a Bration set was perfect for the leaves and the valentine sentiment. thanks for looking, Liz Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Well it's a pleasure to be part of a new Colour Challenge created by the very talented Bronwyn Eastley who is also the founder of the CASEing the Catty Bloghop. I love this colour combo, but I'm sorry Bronwyn I just had to add some green!! I combined it with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for a fun card using one of my new toys - the Rose garden Framelits. So as it happens I didn't get finished in time for the FMS challenge, and worse I LOST my rose framelit in the course of making this card!!!! Now I don't know what state your craft room gets into when you are creating, but  mine could be described as chaos occasionally. I'm sure you can imagine the distress when you lose something like I did when it's in that state.. I couldn't move forward until I had searched everywhere (and most folders of paper scraps we're sifted through twice) . I moved the desk, I went through every packet of framelits thinking I had put it in the wrong envelope.....etc e...
