I am so late sharing these projects as we have been super busy unpacking and setting up at home now that the renovations are finally finished. It feels so nice to be in - and to have my new craft room set up. I feel so very lucky. We created 2 Bay Window cards during this class. You can find the easiest measurements and some other samples on this post from July 26 There were 3 different paper and colour combinations but the measurements and technique was the same for all of them. To create the focal point we stamped and diecut the flowers from Charming Day . I press the inkpad onto a clear block to create a patch of coloured ink, then I pick up this colour with a small paintbrush and then colour the images being sure to leave some white space beside each of the lines to create depth. Painting the flowers using a blend of inks was quick and easy, Add a coat of Wink of Stella and it's done. I created this card for a swap using all current products. I've done many Bay Window Cards over the years but thought I would update the instructions for the sake of simplicity. It's an easy and fun card to make. This is a mix of metric and imperial cutting instructions. You can get two cards from one sheet of A4 cardstock - in Australian sizes just cut the A4 into two 10.5cm x 29.8cm  If you are cutting from 12 x 12 (and in this instance I used Two Tone Cardstock which is all 12 x 12) Cut to 4 1/4 x 11 3/4  Scoring measurements are the same for each : Score at 3/8", 2", 3 7/8", 5 1/2", 5 7/8" Two Tone cardstock is not as rigid as regular card so use Thick Basic White for the sentiment mat inside. Cut one at 4 x 4". This adds stability. DSP cut two strips 4' x 1/4" for the narrow edges which frame the piece. DSP use one sheet 6 x ...

 It's been a while since I created a Bay Window card but they are such fun. This one uses the delightful new Lovely Garden DSP. I took inspiration form the colours in this sheet of DSP and paired Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and the new Secret Sky. I love the way Secret Sky is not quite as harsh as black, yet strong and clear for sentiments. These fabulous sentiments are from one of my current favourite sets - Mixed Labels. The flowers are easy to colur suing the masks and blending brushes, and the dies cut both the floral spray and the individual bloom.  Layering two circles together creates the little stopper  for the card to sit behind when you open it up so it stands for display. This gives a better view of the card opened and on display, of course they fold flat for posting. You can get all these beautiful products in my online store. Using all the blues.  Today I am sharing a card I intended to share for Colour INKspiration #169, but I ran out of time to get it photographed and posted.  I am following on in my series on techniques using White Pigment Ink. Well it's been a very long time since I participated in a blog hop - and it feels good to be participating in a FUNKY FOLDS hop. You may have come from Jan McQueen's creation, or you may be starting here. Be sure and hop all the way around. I do love Fancy Fold cards and of course with a new catalogue and new products it is fun to be creating again. I have a big weekend retreat coming up in a few weeks and we are using the Country Flowers Stamp set so I am creating a swag of samples. Since time is such a precious commodity for all of us I am using some old favourite folds with new products - a whole new lease on life. For this week's hop I am revisiting the Bay Window Card.  Welcome back for Kelly's August blog hop where the theme this month is  "Get Well".  I don't tend to make too many of these style of cards but I guess the notion of "feeling better" doesn't have to mean sickness.To be honest I instantly feel better whenever I receive a handmade card! I do a little skip from the post box to the front door! So I have been trying to send them more frequently, hoping I make others feel a little better too. This means that I like to use tried and true card designs that are easy to mass create. Another trick is to use lots of papers that coordinate without having to think about it too much. Stampin' Up! makes that easy, and the Boho Indigo set of papers are literally The Best Ever! I love these colours, and all the designs go together so I have made a stack of mix and match cards.
