Journal for JAI#389...Empty Journal seeks Creative Genius for casual fling

I love the inspiration challenges at Just Add Ink, but sadly I've not had much time to participate this year, so I'm really glad to be able to join in this week. It's a gorgeous inspiration I totally love the natural elements and colours in this photo- and who doesn't Love brown paper packages tied up with string as one of their favourite things. I regularly create journals for the markets and they are often personalised using bits of old music, old text, wine journals , study notes etc but this one is much simpler.  My advertising sign at the market says   "Empty Journal seeks creative genius  for casual fling" or "empty journal seeks creative mind for meaningful relationship" I have covered a lined journal using some of the crisp green and white striped DSP from the new Sweet Soiree Specialty pack.  The journal has a beautiful neutral base which makes the decorative elements stand out. Cards from my Christmas Class - I'm loving the Musical Christmas set

Last Sunday I held my Christmas Card Stamp a Stack- as well as a technique class in the morning. Here's a few photos of the day and some of the Christmas Card Buffet cards I offered, as well as some other samples which I had created for inspiration. I find it a good way to use up large quantities of DSP which I may have accumulated. Sometimes not having enough ribbon or embellishment...

CTC#149 ever so sparkly!

Happy World Card Making Day! I held a technique class and a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack so I'm happy to say I've seen lots of cards created today. And this is one of the designs we made today. Christmas is such a beautiful time of year and it brings images all about Sparkle!...  and that's what this week's hop is focusing on.  Welcome to another week CASEing the Catty.  The gorgeous new Year of Cheer paper is just lovely and it was the paper itself that inspired me this week. I just wanted something very simple to let the paper stand out- and also because at this time of year when time is getting more precious Christmas cards need to be fast to produce so you can create a large number. There are 3 sheets each of 4 designs in the pack, but I have only used 2 of the designs for these cards. There is gold, silver and copper foil printing on the papers which have a white base. It is easy to sponge or stamp over the white background and I have simp...
