Pretty Perennials #1 Card Classes -simplestamping

This #simplestamping card uses a 1" circle punch as I was creating cards using only the stampset for a class. This same concept is one I used recently. Although the small circle punch is no longer available there are several small punches which will work with this layout.  I recently posted  this card which was CASE'd from the Sale a Bration Brochure. You can see more details here  . At class we used the same concept but a different punch- if you had the dies you could cut the flowers individually. It is some #simplestamping using the gorgeous Pretty Perennials set. Here's another version using only 2 colours. The possibilities are endless. same, same but different there are just so many ways to use this stampset once you get going. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

CI#94 FEB 24 Pretty Perennials gift box of mini cards and envelopes.

I've had so much fun playing with the Pretty Perennials stamp set. This little gift set started with a single sheet of vanilla cardstock which I stamped randomly with the 4 colours of the challenge.  I used the gorgeous colour combination from CTC#94. I love blues but don't often use oranges, so it always surprises me how much I love the effect when I sue them. Do you have similar colour experiences? The piece of 5 3/4" x 5 3/4 was stamped randomly and then cut into 4 equal squares 27/8" x 27/8.  Before I cut the piece I spritzed it all over with alcohol and Frost white shimmer paint, it looked so sparkly and pretty. Each card is embellished very simply with either navy twine or linen thread and the simple "For You" sentiment from the same set. The sequins from the Artistry Blooms are gorgeous colours and match the Mango so well. I did use the thinlits to cut out some flowers to decorate the top of the Mini Pizza Box. I spritzed this also with alcohol, Shimm...

Pretty Perennials #2 same layout different colourways, #simplestamping

Pretty Perennials is such a fabulous set even without the accompanying dies. Here are some more #simplestamping cards we made at class standard card base  10.5 x 29.7, scored at 14.8 mat for stamping      9.5 x 13.5 sentiment strip            5 x 10 sentiment mat          5.5 x 10 Stamp the large flower repeatedly on the first layer starting at the top right corner and working down in a diagonal line to the opposite corner. Re-ink you flower each time. Add the flower centres if you wish. Emboss this piece with a folder of your choice. Stamp the birthday in the background mat and punch that out for layering on top of your ribbon. I love the tone on tone just to add interest to the base panel. This layout also lends itself to so many other stampsets or you could use DSP instead of stamping. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

CI#93 FEB 10

Hello again, and welcome back to Colour INKspiration. We have a great colour combination this week and I ended up with a few different versions, but I love the simplicity of the stamping using the Pretty Perennials set which will feature in my February class. I did find that it works best to stamp the berries and then add the stems after rather than the other way around. I created a full A4 sheet of stamping with the 3 colours and wasn't sure what to do next but after cleaning up my craft room ( for the new year resolution!) I found a few cards and envelopes which were just begging to be used. I was particularly looking for a design that used only the stampset. I also added in a few bits and pieces that were lying on my desk- the  strip of striped brown DSP and the blue glimmer paper as well as some rustic twine. It really is a bright fresh colour combination, I hope you will play along with the challenge this round. And I would also like to share my first samples. I wanted to show...

GDP #277 a gorgeous colour combination with Pretty Perennials

The Pretty Perennials Stampset is gorgeous to use on its own but the floral dies really do add a little something special. My card this week matches the colour challenge at the Global Design Project. I have stamped directly onto the Oh so Ombre DSP which is a free Sale A Bration item with a qualifying purchase for the rest of this month. I love the tone on tone stamping for added depth. I have gone over the Happy with Wink of Stella but it's not easy to photograph. The teeny heart is a teeny leftover of some retired Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and I have also incorporated other retired embellishments like the library clip and crystal button - I do love to use them up. Pink and florals - a perfect match. Here's what I used.
