This weekend I held a class where participants made 2 little sets of notecards, boxed up and ready to give away. Single pot plant from Gift from the Garden coloured with markers. cut using Stitched Sirdcle Framelits, note the 1/2" strip of DSP from the envelopes. I was fortunate to have enough of these fabulous retired boxes for everyone to parcel up their packs, but there are plenty of other packaging options You could make a larger envelope using the envelope punch board You could make a box using a sturdy card like the Kraft cardstock and the Envelope Punch Board. - I often use the Box Buster by The Crafty Owl, you can find this fabulous tool for calculating the size of card you need and the score lines here . This week we are all about CASEing the Ronald McDonald Charity set on the inside of the back cover.  Stamping' Up donates $3 to Ronald McDonald charities from each set purchased. Demonstrators also donate cards to the charity for residents to use. It's nice to know you can give back. I don't own the set, and I have never taken too much notice of the cards in that section but when I looked again I was presently surprised! Gotta love a catalogue that keeps on giving! I have made 2 sets of little 3x3 notecards inspired by their little card. How cute is that toothpick! In fact finding some was a tough job around here, luckily there were some in the picnic basket! So taking my lead from their card I looked through my sets to find a shape in some of the sets I already own that has a sentiment in the shape and is small enough. I found a few and settled on the bright and happy star from C...

I was inspired by the card on page 84 of the catalogue where they have stamped and heat embossed quite a solid image multiple times to create a background panel.  Then put the sentiment on a banner over the top of the panel. This would have been my post for CASEing the Catty#92 if I'd had time to get organised!! This was my take using a line image instead. The gorgeous flower is from Penned and Painted. I stamped onto Kraft and painted the flowers using sponge dauber and White Craft Ink., and painted the leaves with an aqua painter and Emerald Envy. This is the catalogue sample. Then I tried the same idea with a more solid stamped image. I do love the leaf from Kinda Eclectic. Thanks for looking, Liz

 I was asked to make a wedding card in pink tones and I was keen to use the Thoughtful Branches tree die for this because it is so stunning. The leaves behind are stamped with Pink Pirouette using the tree leaves from the  Sheltering Tree set which is just a little softer than the leaves from the Thoughtful Branches set. The real truth however is that I was in a hurry and it was the easiest set to grab!!! The heart is punched out from White Glimmer Paper and because I was in haste I used some cute little resin birds which were in my stash. The thoughtful branches set has 2 adorable birds that also face each other but I was pushed for time. The sentiments are from Confetti Celebration and on the inside from Gut Greetings. This weekend's shaker class was a lot of fun and this card turns out to follow the PPA#308 sketch. We made 2 versions, this is the Pool Party version stepped up to match the sketch. They at such bright fun colours, and a shaker is always a fun card to receive. I have trouble with sequins and static but I find the punched Cardstock shapes work a treat. We were using the DSP from the Cherry on top paper stack. The sentiments are all from the Confetti Celebration set which is very versatile Bermuda Bay Pool Party Cucumber Crush Crushed Curry Whisper White The other version was a green and gold version. So I do really love a card that sits up or has a fancy you fold, and this design is super simple and ever so effective. I have seen it before but it surfaced again recently on the GDP challenge which I follow avidly ( though I seldom get a chance to enter despite my best intentions). This is a simple card which folds flat for postage, and I will have a whole stash of them at the Rockhampton Handmade Expo Markets markets next week . I will also be running a class to make this later in the year. How cute are these stamped images and sentiments? I have a selection of these available at the Handmade Expo Markets this weekend. These stand up cards fold flat for posting. "Friends Don't Let Friends Wine Alone" is still under construction but here's a little sneak peak at some of them....
