I have not been very good at posting the projects we have made at classes this year - and now it's past the Winter Solstice already and so the days should start getting longer again!  So here's a few projects from card classes earlier this year. This was a class using the fabulous Enduring Beauty Masks and blending brushes. No dies were used for this, and we didn't use the coordinating stampset - I wanted to show what you can do with just the decorative masks. There are 5 masks in total and although they are numbered 1-5, I tend to do all the flower parts in one go and then both of the leaf masks next. When you start your blending mark the location of the notch so you know where to position the next mask and which way to orientate it. You need to manually place it in the best position before you start adding ink. Some low tack tape is useful to hold the mask in place for this. Hello again, hard to believe it's the 25th of November already- Christmas is certainly approaching fast. But even though it's soon, I am not sharing a Christmas card today, but I am inspired by the beautiful colours in this week's inspiration pic. I had to have a little play with a new stampset coming in January. The colours for this week are Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Pretty Peacock- a delightful combination.  I have used the first four for a watercolour wash using the smoosh technique of ink on an clear block, spritzed with water and smooshed onto some Shimmery White cardstock. Then I stamped the gorgeous flowers in Memento Black and the sentiment in Peacock, with a few peacock splatters from flicking the pen against the inside of the pen lid- an old technique but a good one. Layering with Kindness stampset. We will be using this lovely set in class this weekend so I just thought I'd share a few more samples of what you can make with it.   You can see my CI#70 3rd Birthday Blog hop sample here . I found a great sample tucked away on page 64 of the January to June Mini Catalogue and had to CASE it!  The catalogue has so many great images to get you going when you aren't sure where to start- especially when it's a new set and there aren't any Pinterest samples out there yet! I've used Mint Macaron , Flirty Flamingo, Vanilla  and a touch of navy.The white seam binding ribbon is super soft and I coloured it with my stampin pad and some water- that's what caught my eye initially in the Catalogue. I added the little pink detail behind the label for a bit more zing. The label is white heat embossed onto Mint and then sponged with more Mint to add a bit more depth of colour. It's been a long time since the Sale A Bration offerings included a punch, and it's been a few years since we had a small flower punch so it's very exciting that this year the Small Bloom Punch is a level 2 option - ie you can choose it as your free item with a purchase of $180. The stamp set is a level 1 option and works totally well as a stand alone product.  I wanted some #simplestamping cards and was quite happy with this clean layout. I used a few different colour options, and the Stamparatus made it super quick to produce a few thankyou cards which I have been meaning to send for a little while.....so now I have a stash to share. here's the first colour palette. what a lovely sentiment inside, and I used another of the 2 images from the stampset for the wee sprig. Well the Rocky River Festival - a fabulous 3 day event celebrating living on the Fitzroy River starts in 2 days and I am lucky enough to have a market stall again this year. So I've been busy creating some cute little sets of notecards in a paper wallet. These cards were inspired by a demonstration Sara Douglas did at Onstage in Auckland in April and I have been keen to try her idea. All you need is a pack of notecards and envelopes, the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit, some simple sentiments and some Pacific Point, Calypso Coral and Pool Party ink. I also added some sequins, and a cool background stamp for a bit more texture. I mixed the colours of the 4 felt details on each card and I love the finished look.
