#Simple Stamping with Felt embellishments inspire by Sara Douglas.

Well the Rocky River Festival - a fabulous 3 day event celebrating living on the Fitzroy River starts in 2 days and I am lucky enough to have a market stall again this year. So I've been busy creating some cute little sets of notecards in a paper wallet.
These cards were inspired by a demonstration Sara Douglas did at Onstage in Auckland in April and I have been keen to try her idea. All you need is a pack of notecards and envelopes, the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit, some simple sentiments and some Pacific Point, Calypso Coral and Pool Party ink. I also added some sequins, and a cool background stamp for a bit more texture. I mixed the colours of the 4 felt details on each card and I love the finished look.

The embellishment kit has 4 identical sheets of stitched felt shapes and they are perfect to adhere to a group of cards. As Sara suggested this would be a fabulous class for teenagers. I made 4 sets of 4 cards and still have plenty left in the pack for another play later.

The paper wallet is made from a single sheet of 12 x 12 and it holds 2 envelopes and 2 cards on each side pocket- perfect way to use up some of that paper.

This is a different set of cards but on the same theme and you can see the inside of the paper wallet.

So a big shout out to Sara, I had fun doing these, thankyou for the inspiration.

Now I have more packing to finish for the markets!!

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"

cheers, Liz

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
