CTC#177 Which Favourite retiring product to Feature??

With all the excitement of the new catalogue I always have a little tinge of sadness as some of our favourites retire to make room for the New. There are so many sets retiring that I couldn't choose just one. My card this week uses lots of threes. Three of the retiring colours - Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum and Dapper Denim. One of the new greens has the same intensity as Emerald but I'm really really sad about Dapper Denim.  Three badges: using the Badges and Banners set- I really love this punch as a background for focal points and sentiments, I will miss this fabulous tool. And the third "Three" is the 3 pansies stamped with Flower Shop and punched using the Pansy Punch. From framed 3D art to countless cards I have really loved this punch.  I won't be selling this pair in the near future. Here's a few of my favourite projects using this punch. Father's Day cards using Foil Frenzy

It's sometimes not easy to come up with masculine cards but at class last weekend we focused on Father's Day and embossing paste techniques. These are 2 of the cards we made on Saturday. The Foil Frenzy  kraft DSP is sp bright and fun. I've also used images from one of my current faves- Bookcase Builder ( If you follow me you will have seen other Father's Day cards here). I've also used the Badges and Banners set whcih is one of those sets which I have used way more than I would have predicted - love a matching punch and stamp. Sneak Peak also of the fabulous leaf image and matching punch from the coming Sunflower Set. This is my colour Palette. Sahara Sand Soft Suede Pool Party Lemon Lime Twist I've also used words and sentiments from Guy Greetings and Teeny Tiny Sentiments. Thanks for looking, and remember "don't just post online, post something pretty!" Liz Bookcase Builder Photopoly...

Interactive Card Class Card #2 Squash Fold Card

I was asked to do a class using interactive cards or designs that were more interesting than the simple basic card. Since I always struggle knowing when to stop it's no surprise that of course I took the challenge and amplified it to not 1 but 3 interactive designs. The class was lots of fun and this is one of the projects we made. This is the front when it is folded This is the inside when it's opened This is the way it folds flat - squashing in on itself This is a squash fold card and I used the  brilliant tutorial from Lyssa Zwolanek  at Song of My Heart Stampers. My card is a square of cardstock 21cm x 21 cm Score in half at 10.5cm each way to create 4 squares  score one diagonal fold from corner to corner DSP is 4inches square - nice and easy with 12 x 12 DSP ( 9 pieces per page) ribbon is approx 40cm- anchored only on the front under the banner. Song of My Heart sample  This version is the same design but using different DSP fr...
