Lillybet's Papers

I love the card in a box style and have been wanting to try this technique with the Open Sea sailing ship for my Dad's birthday. He was in the RAN and has enjoyed a trip on a sailing ship (the eldest crew member on the Young Endeavour) so I think he will like this. Masculine cards can be a bit of a challenge! I am also entering this in the SUO challenge- to use an embellishment (page 208-209 of the Annual Catalogue). there are such a lot to choose from I have made this style before (see posts here(Jan 9) and here for directions and measurements). I am also in awe of a french paper crafter Lezards de Cilou and she inspired me to try and get more detail in the elements. So after heat embossing with Early Espresso powder and cutting out the ship I have used the blender pen and some More Mustard ink to colour the sails, then manually embossing with the stylus.
