I have always loved a 3D frame and try to create a sampler each time there is a new catalogue. The Needlepoint Nook suite lent itself to this quite easily. A friend gave me a stash of goodies from a well loved sewing room which included these gorgeous thread wheels and lots of tiny timber spools of cotton, I have had some in a jar as part of my kitchen decor but moved them to this new home. Included in the stash was a beautiful button which inspired the handmade birdsnest in both frames I have made using the Cathedral Window style. There are a few squares using the embroidery panel from the thinlits, some fussy cut floral embroidered flowers, and a few things I love. It is based on the Cathedral Window quilt pattern and the circles of DSP are all Mossy Meadow, punched using a 2" punch, the squares are 1 3/8" and they are all raised on either a single or double layer of dimensionals or thick card.
