Cathedral Windows Inspired in a Frame with New Edition Toys, Inspre:Create #24

Last week for CASEing the Catty we used the section for Natures' Poem and I was inspried by a few things in the Catalogue. One of them was the mosaic style of card using stamped images on page 152.
I used to make a lot of Patchwork style cards and since my crafting mojo has been a little low lately I find it helpful to go back to styles I used to like. So patchwork styles reappeared in my vision and I had always wanted to try a cathedral windows style. This is what I ended up with - eventually!

I punched out 2" circles of patterned paper and cut squares of woodgrain or plain card to 1 1/4", and folded the edges of the circle over the squares. Getting them all lined up in the grid took a little time but I like the spacing which also allowed me to decorate the edges using some of the fabulous copper vinyl stickers from the Tea Room Copper stickers. I also used these to create a butterfly and a bee which sit up on some wire, as well as adhering one to some So Saffron and cutting out a flower.
I find it very difficult to photograph once in a frame due to reflections so other than the shot on the table the other photographs are taken out of the frame. See how many different stamp sets or embellishments you can identify.
I used all current buttons/ glitter embellishments, copper stickers, copper leaf embellishments, ribbon, twine etc. The wooden leaves are not current but there is a similar product available. And the large white pearls - the eggs in the nest are now retired but they were essential. The nest is made by applying liquid adhesive to the entire strand and holding the coil until it dries. There are some tiny strips of Crumb Cake cardstock scrunched as the base with the pearls resting on top.

Product List
Not all of the squares are adhered directly to the base. They are all at different heights with pieces of thick cardboard underneath to bring some of them up for variation.
There are plenty of different stampsets used too. How many can you find?

Product List
The paper background is from the Tranquil Textures pack and the woodgrain si one of my favourite go to papers.
What stamps do you have in your stash that you could use to create something like this.

I think I'll enter this is the Inspire. Create challenge this week.

thanks for looking today.
I hope you find some time to be creative this week and remember

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car

#Onstage Sydney 2022 Fancy Flora Suite , Display Stamping # 1 beginner, casual, avid samples

I'm so honoured to have been asked to present the premier suite "Fancy Flora" from the new Mini Catalogue - what a treat. ( Available January 5 - May 12023 ). This is one of a series of posts showing some of the projects I created using this suite. It's a long one so grab a cuppa and enjoy my tips and tricks and first projects. Relieved the presentation is over and with my samples on the board! Firstly I had the pleasure of showing the suite- 2 stampsets, 2 sets of dies, some 6x6 DSP, Shimmer Card, Ribbon and Gems. With every new set I allow myself plenty of time to just play with it and explore the possibilities in colour and layout. In doing this I create a series of Mood boards that make it much faster when I come to use the product to quickly identify how many dies in each set, how many stamps and which ones match the dies, and which ribbons and bling I have in my stash- or in the current catalogues that match the colours of the new suite. That way I don't for
