Social Stamping this week's theme- Sympathy

Welcome to this week's Kelly's Social Stamping blog where the theme is Sympathy. Never easy cards to make, but important ones to give and send. I generally opt for neutral themes and tones and have used a the Forever Fern set (again) with some simple embossing. The sentiment is a retired one but I love the simplicity and clean lines and really, minimal words are all you need.  I have also embossed the envelope for this card and love the effect. In so many occasions in life it is the power of connection that supports each of us, so Sympathy cards certainly have their place in our world. Being able to create a card that allows for connection to another who is suffering is a precious thing. Those small acts of giving keep us together on this journey. I'm not sure if you feel the same. Next on the hop this week is Michelle . I look forward to seeing everyone's creations, sharing inspiration is enriching. Thankyou to everyone who share so generously in this creative hobby o

Colour INKspiration # 82

Welcome back for another round of Colour INKspiration, and what a striking and happy combination we have tonight. Black and White and gold with Just Jade and Melon Mambo.  I am trying very hard to mix old and new and use up some of my stash of treasures- so I can make room for new treasures of course! I am also trying hard to be time efficient since it's such a precious resource. So using Memories and More cards ticks both these boxes and I used 2 on the one card today. These cards and the white sprig are from the retired Petals and More set but I'm so glad I had held onto them.  All the colour comes from the beautiful new Forever Fern set which is a pantry staple if you ask me. Stamped off the images are just as beautiful like on the envelope here. I had another large card which was perfect for the inside. This was a very quick card to assemble, and the colours just make me happy. I do hope you create a project to share with us on our Facebook page using these colours. You hav

Kelly's Social Stamping - "Change"- the ephemeral theme

Welcome back for another round of Kelly's Social Stamping- a group hop by a bunch of stampers gathered together by everyone's friend Kelly. It's a privilege to know Kelly, she is such a gorgeous soul gathering friends from near and far to share inspiration, friendship and creativity- and a sense of connection. I have thoroughly enjoyed this Covid inspired connection.  Our theme for this week is change- and what a vast topic that is- we have all been surrounded by change for months now and it is not an easy challenge. But as the posters keep reminding us "We are all in this together".    One of the biggest places for change has been the workplace, and a lovely friend of mine has been nursing for many years and finished work this week. She has cared for countless patients with her gentle manner and nurtured many nurses and doctors along the way. She has been the breadwinner for her family after emigrating from the UK and work simply won't be the same without he
