Welcome back for another week of catalogue inspiration. My inspiration has been fairly low recently so it's good to use the catalogue as a resource. It's also helpful to go back to projects you enjoyed and recreate them with different products ......or of course you could try some NEW PRODUCTS!!! So that's exactly what I did when my box of new products from the coming Holiday Catalogue arrived. There's a lot of beautiful things to choose from but I tried to be realistic with this order. Today I'm giving you a SNEAK PEAK of a few items: some gorgeous new Designer Series Paper."Frosted Floral" It's absolutely lovely and suitable for so many different projects.Shimmery on both sides and suitable for male/female/Wedding/ Christmas ....all sorts of occasions. Welcome back for another week CASEing the amazing pages of the Sale A Bration Brochure. I'm away on holidays next week so wanted to make sure I wouldn't miss too many episodes- and besides it's a great reason to excuse myself form the dishes and get crafting!  The Celebrate YOu Thinlits are beautiful- and best of all they WILL be continuing in the next catalogue. The stampset which matches will not be continuing however so make sure to order yours if you love it as much as I do. For this card I wanted to use all 3 thinlits and I CASEd the card on the bottom of page 17, I didn't have enough time to cut out 3 or 4 of the celebrate and cut them into blocks of letters for the ombre effect they describe in the brochure. Instead I cut one word from Sahara Sand and using paper as a mask I sponged it lightly with a dauber using increasing intensity of Berry Burst Ink. I have been playing with the beautiful new Petal Palette set and really enjoying all the possibilities it offers. We will be using it at our stamping retreat this weekend and I'll be basing a class around it in February.   I am also combining this card with a new challenge - new to me - Inspire.Create Stampin Challenges #009 Love seems just perfect for this card. I have stamped the roses with archival black ink and coloured the roses using an aqua painter and real red and coral inks. The leaves are painted in both old olive and garden green. I don;t have any of the glimmer embossing paste but I am loving using the regular embossing paste and sprinkling it with dazzling diamonds while it is still damp and just waiting for it to dry. I have done that same technique on a number of cards. The little lace panel is cut using the thinlits that pair with the Petal Palette set,  - the Petals and More thinlits. This textured piece is such a lovely addition to that set. ...

Welcome to the First 2015 blog for Colour INKspiration, I hope your Christmas and New Year have been amazing.  We start the year with a bright fresh colour palette.And I started the year needing a thankyou card or 2 - so I pulled out my minitreat thinlits set and made one using new paper and stamps, and one using older paper and stamps. Here they are both side by side.   I'm still not totally sold on Lemon Lime Twist as a colour although it is used very widely. Perhaps it just doesn't photograph very well. I prefer the cardstock once it is sponged with the same ink to give that deeper more intense colour. So that is what I have done to the leaf spray ( the second spray is cut from DSP)  Both the DSP and the ribbon and sequins used in this project are new in the Tutti-frutti Suite.
