Onstage swaps 2016- CTC#105 Fancy Frost

What a fabulous experience ONstage 2016 has been. Over 600 demonstrators from all over the globe in Brisbane for 21/2 days of sharing ideas, learning new skills, business and leadership training and a chance to see the new catalogue which will go live January 4. I can't tell you what will be in it but I can tell you it's amazing and has some gorgeous suites. Welcome to the hop for CASEing the Catty for this week - taking inspiration from the Fancy Frost pages of the Holiday Catalogue. There are such beautiful products on this suite. I used these to create my swaps for our CTC team. You will have come from Kelly's amazing blog, but if you get lost you will find the whole crew here . I love the Frotsed Medallions set and heat embossed this with clear embossing powder on Tip Top Taupe cardstock which I then cut out with the circle framelits. I was inspired by the card on the right on page36 where the circle is under some vellum. My card is a gatefold card, and I s...

CTC#76 Have a Cuppa for Mum

Hello and welcome back for this weeks projects. You can find all the CTC blog participants here Pages 34-36 have some sweet projects made using the fabulous Have a Cuppa set  and matching framelits which I resisted buying initially. This is the project we made for mother's Day at March Class. I have CASED the Wisteria Wonder layout of the card at the right of this picture on page 34. For the Class we made one of these fabulous self closing boxes which holds a little selection of tea bags, and the card coordinates for a sweet little Mother's Day Gift.  The teapot sits on a vellum circle, but I needed to layer a patterned vellum over the Vellum cardstock as it needed the extra firmness to be stable. I used the Circles framelits to cut the ring frame from the Shine On Kraft DSP . - this frame hides the glue dots which hold the 2 layers of vellum together. the cute floral Paper is from the Love Blossoms DSP paper stack. Watermelon Wonder does look very bright in th...

More #onstage2016 samples- Vellum mini treat bags - Sneak Peak of 2 new stampsets

Well I have lots more samples to show you, and these are 3 Vellum Mini treat bags I made using 2 new stamp sets... so here is a little Sneak Peak. The first two photos show my display board, and I will bring you more details on all the samples in the next little while. Today's samples are 3 vellum Mini treat bags which I made using the fabulous thinlits. The vellum has been embossed and the cards which slip in have a stamped image which are all hidden by the front decoration when they are assembled. I find that vellum is quite fragile so when using the bisghot for embossing I use only the least amount of pressure - Tab 2 is not quite as forceful as Tab 1 for this. I have used the Designer Series Paper in the coordinating colours, and I think you can see the beautiful new ribbon which matches. The Peekaboo Peach sample uses one of the images from a new set called "Love and Affection" The second two samples use images from one of the new Hostess sets c...

On Stage a Display Samples - Love, Love, Love the new colours!

Well I was so thrilled - and nervous - about being selected as a display Stamper for Onstage. It's quite wonderful but 6 of the dusting team members from CASEing the Catty were selected. Judy May, Kathryn Mangelsdorf, Rebecca Scurr, Julia Quin, Jess Williams and myself. We all received different products to use. I was lucky enough to be sent all the new colours and 2 new stampsets to play with. I just love the new colours so here are the first lot of photos of cards I made. These use a returning stamp - the wonderful Dahlia. There are not too many background stamps in my collection which are returning so I started with this image for a full colour coverage. Dapper Denim - such a fabulous blue. I love it. Peekaboo Peach - teams beautifully with Pumpkin Pie too Emerald Envy Flirty Flamingo And for some reason I don't have one of Sweet Sugarplum on it's own so here it is teamed with a three tone version. I think the Flamingo, Peach and Sugarplum together ...
