Lillybet's Papers

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...

What a beautiful colour combination for CI#176. This is such a lovely fresh colour palette, I had a lot of fun putting this card together. I wanted to use the Textured Floral stampset as it has been sitting on my shelf a teensy bit neglected. It was perfect to use with only one colour of flower. Petunia Pop is bright and breezy and all 5 In Colours are available in the 2024-2026 12 x 12 specialty Glimmer paper which was a lovely lift for the flower centres.The Granny Apple Green leaves add a brightness and I used the olive glimmer paper (from the Berry Burst, Old Olive and White Glimmer Paper )to add some sparkle. It was nice to use just the one stampset and Textured Floral dies for this project - although the label die for the sentiment is from a retired set. I am not always great at cutting straight strips so this die gets me out of trouble sometimes. Well what a lovely colour combination this turned out to be!  I wasn't sure how the bright pink and the muted pink would go together but I love it. And can you spot the new stampset - Simply Zinnias is an online exclusive product which just became available. It's such an easy set to work with. The embossing folder is just so detailed it's a real pleasure to use. of course I always decorate the inside too. As I said- once you have a Babywipe palette you can stamp a large number of images. These are few more of the thankyou cards in this series. No Wattle in this group of cards, just greenery. You can see the wattle cards using this set and this technique published yesterday. A little touch of colour and interest on the inside as well - and of course NEVER a naked envelope. This week's colour combo is just so happy and bright, and amazingly, it's our 100th challenge. I've been with this group from the start so even though I have struggled to find time to participate recently I could not let this occasion go by. My cards are very simple but with such vibrant colours that's probably best. I used the fabulous new Perfect Plants suite and had a little bit of fun. The first card uses one of the new stencils for the background, but the second is much more clean and simple. So glad the brick wall embossing folder is staying with us, it's a must have. This is a great set for a beginner stamper, it's so easy to use, and very on trend. One of my kids tells me houseplants are the new pets! Welcome to the Colour INKspiration challenge for this week #101, and what a lovely colour combination we have for you. I was inspired to create another floral card using the Expressions in Ink stamp which is just amazing to use. I also love the stitched borders dies and have been creating a few cards using a double border. The new gold glimmer paper is fabulous and cuts very easily. Another new product is the fabulous tags dies- how cute is the little detail for the ribbon hole. this card was quite quick to put together, I hope you will create a card using these colours and share it with us over the next 2 weeks.
