Lillybet's Papers

Happy Easter to YOU and your family! I hope you are enjoying the break. Welcome back to the Blog hop this Easter Weekend. You have possibly come from Kathryn's beautiful blog, so welcome.  I know everyone gets busy this time of year, and we are going away camping with a few families who are old friends. It's going to be great. About half of the people coming have to drive quite a long way to get here (Usually it's us travelling in the other direction) so it's very exciting to have them coming home. So in preparation for this weekend I have CASE'd a layout from the Sale-A Bration Catalogue (bottom right on page 10) and made some thnkyou cards for them. The "Beautiful Ride" stampset is perfect for the  people who are coming and it's so cute to stamp with. I have CASEd my fellow designer from CTC Rachel Palmiere who recently used this set and stamped directly onto DSP and cut out the car shape from the pattern -Perfect!!  (CTC#70 March 13) I sa...

The theme this week at a JAI is Just add V - so valentine's is perfect. I made these few Valentine's cards for a friend at work who asked me to create something with red and pink! The first card I stamped, coloured (with the aqua painter) and cut out the bug and balloons and simply popped them up on the DSP. I'm not sure if you can see the sparkle in the second image but the Wink of Stella adds such a lovely glimmer. The Beautiful Ride set has so many possibilities, and it's actually easier to colour that it first appears. The second card is stamped directly onto whisper white and coloured the same way. The Archival black ink is perfect for colouring and gives such a clear image I am really impressed with it. The texture around the card is using the brilliant new Timeless Textures stampset.
