Well its' been such a long time since the retreat and I have been very slow to post Alice's gorgeous teapot swing card.  ( it uses a paper hinge, like a brad ) It was fabulous to create something with a very different construction. When I first saw this video I thought it would appeal to Alice's mathematical and precise brain so I sent it to her. OF course she didn't fail to amaze us with her creation. Since a picture paints a thousand words it's easiest to describe the method through this  video  clip which shows how it is done. I hope you can follow the link  - It's a Facebook Reel from KTCrafts. The trick is to be very careful not to adhere anything to the two flaps. In this card only the bow is adhered to the flaps so that they are hidden. It was a good way to tidy up the card front. Yesterday we held our first Full Day Stamping Retreat in Rockhampton and I'm really grateful for all the help I had in putting the day together. It was a great team effort by several of the demonstrators from my team - the CQ Paperlover's Crew. Thanks so much to Krissy Buck, Heather Latham, JoAnne Humphreys and Sharon Dalton who created samples, taught classes, arranged prizes, organised the catering and timing, and of course the setup and cleanup. It was a great day and attended by new and old crafty friends who had come from quite a wide area in Qld - Brisbane, Buderim, Moura, Gogango, Biloela.....and Gracemere!! It was a very hot day in CQ at 41degrees so being inside in the cool Air Conditioning stamping was a perfect escape from the heat. Each participant went home with a goodie bag and 8 cards from 4 classes plus bits and bobs from the Product Playground, as well as a folded paper wallet they made, prizes and catalogues. I hope everyone had fun learning...
