CTC#127 Favourite Retired Item - how does one choose?

Welcome back for another round of CTC. This week we are saying a sad  Farewell to some Retiring Products. It's such a long list of lovely items leaving us this year so it was hard to pick a favourite. So I have combined a few of my favourite things. Penned and Painted has to be one of my favourite sets in the catalogue -it's just so easy to use and so versatile. So this week I went back to the catalogue to refresh my memories of how they have used the set and I CASE'd a few of their ideas. I like the ribbon treatment as a loop under the embellishment, I also like the simplicity of each card, and I liked the block of colour made up using the row of dots stamp so that was my inspiration. My favourite colour has to be MINT MACARON , so sad that it is leaving as it's so soft and versatile. So I have used the ink, some ribbon, some of the gorgeous mini striped ribbon too.  Tin of Cards is another set I will really miss, and Kraft cardstock will also be a...

GDP#073 Sweet Colour Challenge

Welcome back for another card using Penned and Painted and the brilliant Delicate Details lace stamp from Sale a Bration. I am making a large stash of thankyou cards today so have created one using the colour challenge at GDP this week. I have heat embossed the lace details in white on Kraft, and have also sponged some circles with white craft Ink onto the base layer. The flowers are stamped, fussy cut and raised on dimensionals. Add a little touch of Garden Green baker's twine leftover from Christmas and a few coloured dots, and tie the sentiment flag on and you're done. Here's a little tip : The easiest way to get the lace straight is to position all 3 photopolymer stamps on the one block before you start stamping. That way you can also easily decorate the matching envelope by stamping on the flap. this gives you a better shot of the envelope. Thanks for looking, I'll be back with more cards using the delicate details set this weekend so mak...

Penned and Painted thinking of you for JAI #345

We got together the other night and did some stamping- no projects specific, just trying different things. I played around with the Penned and Painted set, and I wasn't really happy with the colours or how they looked so i was going to throw them out. ..... couldn't do it....... co I cut them out and played some more and came up with a simple card which I quite like now! I love the Delicate Details heat embossed in White on Kraft.. And the layout works for the challenge at Just Add Ink this week the enamel dots are the retired sublets dots, and to give them a little gloss I covered each with the fine tip glue pen - just adds a little more dimension. Thanks for looking, I hope you get some time to be creative today, Liz Kraft 12" X 12" Cardstock - 133674 Price: $12.25 Delicate Details Photopolymer Stamp Set - 143314 Price: $0.00 Versamark Pad - 102283 Price: $15.00 White Stampin' Emboss Powde...

Copper embossing for floral sparkle

I was inspired by the card on page 84 of the catalogue where they have stamped and heat embossed quite a solid image multiple times to create a background panel.  Then put the sentiment on a banner over the top of the panel. This would have been my post for CASEing the Catty#92 if I'd had time to get organised!! This was my take using a line image instead. The gorgeous flower is from Penned and Painted. I stamped onto Kraft and painted the flowers using sponge dauber and White Craft Ink., and painted the leaves with an aqua painter and Emerald Envy. This is the catalogue sample. Then I tried the same idea with a more solid stamped image. I do love the leaf from Kinda Eclectic. Thanks for looking, Liz
