JAI #201

Hi again, just adding my card for the Just Add Ink challenge#201 - a colour challenge I love Sahara Sand, and Island Indigo. Pool Party is easy to use but adding Real Red did challenge me. I have used the retired sets Established Elegance and Vintage Verses . The gorgeous script embossing folder was first inked up with Sahara Sand ink to give the light and dark effect, and the Deco Labels Framelits seemed to fit with the vintage theme. I don't often use the Decorative Edgelits but now that they are out I think I'll play with them some more. I still have a few of the lovely Pool Party spotty brads, they always add a little something special. Thanks for looking, Liz

Ex Libris and Kindness Matters

This afternoon I finally got to play with my new stamp Ex Libris , which is just lovely. Here I have embossed it with Pool Party Embossing Powder over Very Vanilla Cardstock, then I sponged it with Crumb Cake ink and mounted it onto some First Edition DSP. The sentiment is from an old Sale-a Bration set from 2012 in Crumb Cake punched with the Extra Large Oval Punch and layered on the Decorative Label Punch shape which layers nicely on the Ex Libris plate. I have used some Natural Trim Ribbon and Linen Thread to decorate and an Antique Brad to hold it all in place. The butterflies are from Kindness Matters . These were a bit more work- I stamped them first with Basic Grey onto Crumb Cake cardstock using the stamp-a majig, so that I could stamp over that exactly with Versamark ink which I then covered with Clear Embossing powder and heat embossed. To add colour I used the blender pen , some pool party and a touch of Gumball Green ink. I'm not much good with colouring b...

Established Elegance Trifold

Loved the Easter Blessings EspressoVersion so whipped up a quick female option for a birthday with my other favourite stamp set. (see previous post, Easter Blessings with Fan Fair for directions) thanks for looking, Liz

Easter Blessings with Fan Fair

Last Easter Card - a more masculine version - of course it will be late in the post but that's ok. ( in fact my family expect it)... Have made a trifold card to fit a standard C6 envelope. I simply cut a 15cm strip from a piece of Early Espresso A4  cardstock and  trimmed off 3 cm from the length . I  then scored at 10.5cm and 21.5 cm, and scored the short flap with a few vertical lines using the scoreboard. The image is stamped from the Summer Silhouettes in More Mustard and the DSP is from The Fan Fair set which is all gorgeous, and some matching mustard scraps from the Orchard Harvest paper. Inside images are from the Established Elegance Set which features a lot in my work.  The little holder to keep the flap closed is made with a few layers using the mini scallop decorative square punch from Sale-a Bration, I can see this punch being very useful. ( oh and a non SU button) Thanks for looking, liz

Established Elegance and Vintage Verses from Sale-a Bration

I Just love this Set. This also uses the Vintage Verses from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. I did get some inspiration for this card from one I saw on Pinterest, (from the very talented Heather Klump at hlkdownstairsdesigns.blogspot.com ) but I have put my own vintage perspective on it, and of course the Tiny Tags which I love to add to almost everything.  I have used Glossy Accents on the Primrose Petals standout Mannequin which adds a nice dimension. The Crystal Buttons seem perfect too. The lovely new Flower Trim from the new Summer Mini Catalogue are perfect and very easy to work with. Hope you enjoy looking at this one, I certainly had fun making it. contact me if you would like to order any of these gorgeous products, thanks for looking , Liz
