This is my last piece of the rainbow sponging I made using the Irresistibly Floral Background Paper. It's a really quick and very effective way to create a background piece. This was a quick card to create. The cupcake icing is clear embossed on white card , and has a little bit or wink of stella for sparkle. The Sentiment is from one of the new sets in the Occasions Catalogue call Suite Sentiments. It is a great set with lots of sayings that coordinate with a whole range of stamp sets. I was lucky enough to receive a gorgeous handmade Birthday Card last year from Kelly Kent- one of the Design Team Members at both CASEing the Catty and Colour INKspirtation. Kelly was a display stamper at Brisbane ONSTAGE this year and had the  Oh So Succulent set to play with before we all saw it. I loved her card and have shamelessy CASE'd it.  This is Kelly's card: and this is mine!  I used one of the panels I made in my Sponge and Splash technique when I was creating for the Colour INKspiration challenge using the pastels. I made a whole stack of background pieces and Kelly's cactus seemed like a good way to use one of them. Welcome! This is a very exciting day as we launch the very first Colour INKspiration bloghop! Thanks so much to Bronwyn for her vision and energy in setting this up.The real beauty of this creative challenge is that anyone who has a facebook page can join in!  You do need to be a member of the group - which is by invitation- so if you aren't a member already just email me to join in. I was asked to create a card for twins- a boy and a girl! How lovely. I used my sponge daubers to create the background and a very old stamp to create the romper suits - the current framelits were just a bit too large to have both sitting comfortably on the card together.I decided to use a mix of bright and soft colours Dapper Denim Mint Macaron So Saffron Flirty Flamingo I'm not sure if this quite qualifies for the Stampin' Up! Only challenge to use Primary Colours#156 (of any tone,) since Green is not strictly a primary but I'm going to include it as my entry this week anyway. It just needs the green to soften it- and to me green is a basic colour which I use all the time! Lets call it artistic license! It's easy to create the background using the Irresistibly Floral  DSP. I am loving the Umbrella stamps and framelits, and you all know I love the emboss resist paper. I just added the blue sponging in a graduated depth to get an ombre effect. The Irresistibly Floral DSP  has these groovy spots and a striped page as well as the floral pages. So fun! The little bow comes from the Mini treat thinlits set, and I gave the "friend "text a little more definition by drawing over it with the fine tip glue pen.
