CI#210 NEW IN COLOURS for a set of cards.

Welcome to another colour INKspiration challenge. I am loveing the new In colours for 2026-2028 and had quite a bit of fun creating this set to showcase them. The amazing Artisan Sketched Garden paper is beautiful to colour and I love the 2 tone Cardstock to showcase the subtle depth of colour with the lighter tone. These cards were easy to put together and I have created a few sets - perfect for gift giving. For the inside and the envelope I used a few images from Fern and Flora, and the sentiment is from Fragrant Layers. But really I lke them completely blank. CI#189 Flowers to celebrate some New Colours

Welcome back for CI#189. The inspiration pic  for this week's challenge is just gorgeous. I love Gum flowers, and my Mum has one of these amazing flowering gums in her back garden. Our guest designer this week is Petra Noeth, we welcome her beautiful project.  Do be sure to check out all the inspiration projects on our Facebook Page from the design team.  Our picture credit this week is  https://www.tobiashayashi.com/blog/tag/eucalyptus+macrocarpa  I made a card and matching little gift box. I am trying (very hard) to embrace Darling Duckling so have used that as the focal flowers for my project this week. They are simply cut from the DSP and then layered up in a bouquet. I have gone around the cut edges with the Darling Duckling Stamp n'Write marker to give some added definition and remove the white which shows from the cut edge. The leaf sprays are also fussy cut from the DSP. I have only a hint of Melon Mambo in the card base and then all the flower cen...

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

CI#188 May 28

Welcome back for another (LATE) edition of Colour INKspiration #188. Amidst the renovations and the half packed craft room I had some fun playing with some of the new In Colours 25-27 and a few new products that have been waiting patiently to be used.  I am surprised by how much I enjoy using Timid Tiger!  This week's picture was chosen by Lou, and it's a great mix of new and existing colours from the range. I had fun playing with these. Picture credit -  https://www.instagram.com/lulumoonowlbooks/p/C2LT5JPSt8z/... We would like to welcome Cez Tolentino as our guest designer this round. Be sure to check out everyone's creations using this palettte on our Facebook page and also on Instagram.  I have had Cake Celebrations on my shelf for quite a while now and I loved how easy it is to use. Creating the cake was super easy. The Strawberry Slush was stamped off for the cake layers but used full strength for the bands of filling.  Sometimes photopolymer images don's...

Thankful Garden Hydrangeas

At this time of the year - when one set of In Colours ( group of 5 which has been around for 2 years ) is about to retire, I often find myself gravitating towards them to get the last little bit of use before they disappear from use. Well also it's to try and use them up to create space for the excitement of incoming colours ( early May ) I have really loved Pebbled Path as a solid and reliable cardbase. Here I have also used Boho Blue and Moody Mauve with the blending brushes to create the Hydrangea. I have also used some other retired products in the background papers. This beautiful image is from the new Thankful Garden suite, which includes the stampset, decorative masks, and dies. The masks are incredibly easy to use. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

CI#164 Saying goodbye to the 2022-2024 In Colours

Well it's that time of the year again, and we are only a few days from saying farewell to this group of 5 colours. I will definitely miss STARRY SKY - it's been such a pleasure to work with. But that means there are 5 NEW colours coming - and they are just beautiful. So for this colour challenge we are asking you to use one or more. I managed to use 3 on each card, using the 3D Sweet Citrus Hybrid folder  and dies and the Sweet Citrus Stampset . I am sad that these too are retiring. They make such a fun card. Be sure and check out the inspiration on our Facebook page to see all the projects created by the team. We'd love to see what you create. The first version uses Tranquil Tide and Parakeet Party. The 3D Embossing folder creates a stunning embossed background. I had applied the base ink using a Blending Brush prior to embossing but added more ink once embossed to the raised leaves and citrus for a deeper effect. I did this for both versions. A few of the larger flowers a...
