Lillybet's Papers

Just a few sets of minicards which I also used as thankyou gifts. I will have sets of these for sale at the coming Suitcase Rummage as part of the Rockhampton River Festival. Saturday July 11 2pm. I do love sets! And the envelopes just make it easy.  Pocket Silhouettes, butterfly punches, postage stamp punch, a few Ribbons and brads, and of course Kraft cardstock. Super fun to make. I was asked to do a sympathy card which is always hard. Pocket Silhouettes (sadly retired) is an old faithful and didn't let me down today. I used Watercolour Paper which gives such a nice finish and stamped the first layer of leaves in Not Quite Navy . after each colour addition I used the aqua painter to blend the colours and give some depth. Other layers of plants are in Certainly Celery and the last in Old Olive . the sky is done using Bashful Blue and More Mustard for the golden glow. One tip I learned a long time ago is to use the markers and draw a patch of ink on the surface of the clear-mount blocks and pick the colour up from here with the aqua painter. The little butterfly is from an old Sale a Bration Set and is bashful blue with Not Quite Navy marker added just around the edge (sort of rock and roll technique). The watercolour panel is then mounted on Not Quite Navy cardstock and sits flat on the Naturals Ivory Card. The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts . ...A...

Blue Collage I do have a thing for squares and geometry. This little collection uses many Stampin' Up! products but also a few from my collections over the years. the floral paper is from Liberty of London from a recent trip, buttons and hat pin from my stash. Soft Subltes 6 ways I love the Stampin' Up! Soft Subltes range and have been experimenting with a favourite stamp set Organic Grace (now retired) with 6 different looks. So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue and Marina Mist, all in combination with Certainly Celery orWild Wasabi ( a very versatile colour) have been stamped and assembled using different layouts and embellishments. I like the different ways they came together. All these colours are so easy to use.  You could use any stampset with a floral theme. Pocket Silhouettes also adds a good base to the foliage. "Pocket Silhouettes"   is my all time favourite 'go- to 'stamp set a nd I have used it today to make a Mother's Day card. Using Baja Breeze card and matching Ribbon as the base, I have stamped a cottage garden in a square. I then Matted that on Night of Navy cardstock and layered that up with dimensionals. I also used the gorgeous Dazzling Diamonds glitter to add that little sparkle - just perfect for Mum. The sentiment is layered on a separate piece or used with the modern label punch. I have also done the same style of cottage garden using the current set Best of Everything, in a different colour set- Wild Wasabi, Regal Rose and Night of Navy.
