I do love a fancy fold- and I often do Easel cards which you will have seen if you follow my work. I love the surprise of a folded flat card which springs to life when you open it up. folded flat for posting Sitting open with the front popped up behind the bridge. #CCE1FF I'm not sure if you can pick up the shimmer but the background pieces are made by spritzing alcohol mixed with a few drops of Call me Clover ink and a few drops of Copper Shimmer Paint. I spritzed onto glossy cardstock and each piece looks completely different. I do indeed have lots to be thankful for. I coloured the flowers using the new alcohol blends- they are super fast and easy to use. This is a slightly different design which my friend Bronwyn Eastley sent me as part of her On-Line Christmas Class Extravaganza. What a busy weekend- I can't believe Easter is almost here, and with so much to do before then I wanted something not too complicated to make for Easter this year. I'm quite excited because 2 of our children are coming home for the short break. It will be lovely to have them around for a few days. I always try to get lots of baking done- and of course there are traditional recipes to whip up. So I need some cards to go with their gifts. This is a style of card that I have always admired but seldom made so I was pleased to finally get these created.  SOOO easy! Why haven't I done this before? Their little envelopes will contain a small gift to go along with the eggs! I liked the layout of the card on the top left of page 27 of the occasions catalogue- just the simple strip of DSP on the lower half of the card, and a colour banner behind the label with the sentiment on it, so that inspired the outside of the bag. Welcome ro the Sunday  night  CASEing the Catty  blog hop. This week we are taking inspiration from the Chapter on Thanks , pages 38-43 in the Catalogue. You may have come from jackie  or you may be starting here. We hope you find something to inspire you in these projects. There are so many ways to say thankyou, but I don't think we send cards nearly as often as we should. I feel I have so much to be grateful for so I love to send Thankyou notes. However, for this week I took inspiration from the fabulous packet on page 43, and I used this a model for  my Welcome Package at my Catalogue Launch Party today. I had a lot of fun playing with the fabulous new set Falling Flowers. It has some really great images in it and I have had a bit of a play with it this week.
