Well luckily for me I am actually travelling to South Carolina for my nephew's Graduation from Clemson University. SO making a Graduation Card was not only a necessity but a good reason to make something extra special. You will have arrived here from Allison's amazing blog.  I used the colour inspiration from the Occasions Catalogue and created a double Easel Card (Another first for me) because I wanted the stars to be suspended in the Deco framelits frame. The gold doesn't show too well in the photos but believe me it sparkles!!! Congratulations Connor. This is a picture heavy post - but it's easier than writing the description! IThe challenge this week is a gorgeous colour challenge at JAI.  And I have teamed this with the sketch challenge at Freshl Made Sketches I have been experimenting with watercolour look backgrounds for my next class for Mother's Day and the Blackberry Bliss ink gives gorgeous colours with this technique. The background is the feature so minimal stamping and embellishments let it shone through. (I'm not sure my photography does it any justice here) I used the floral spray from Thoughts and Prayers, and the sentiment from Good Greetings. A little heart from Pictogram Punches i s highlighted with some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and the sequins are strawberry slush from the in colour sequins collection - I have to admit I have used these more than I imagined I would. A little bit of silver pen helped highlight the tiny bit of Smoky Slate stamping. Thanks for looking. Liz  

The real Challenge  for me this week is to get everything done before The Handmade Markets on Saturday here in Rockhampton. But in the midst of making heaps of cards and tags and bits and pieces I have been inspired by CASEing The Catty Challenge#17 to use a prompt from  the Valentine's section of the new Occasions Catalogue on pages 4-9. I don't often do a clean and simple style but I was taken with the lovely card on page 9, and I have used the colour combo from the Stacked With Love DSP - Black, Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe and Real Red.  I don't own the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits ( well not yet)  with the row of hearts, but I do have the Itty Bitty Punch Pack which I use ALL the time. So I punched out a row of hearts first and place some paper behind these, then I stamped and punched out lots more hearts using Pictogram Punches , and stuck these on to match the first row. Well it's spring here in Queensland but I do remember how beautiful Fall is in Northern countries so it was lovely to create using these tones. I am entering this card in the SUO challenges #106. Head over to the Stampin' Up! Only website to see some of the other great cards. I have used So Safron as my base and background DSP colours but have stamped the leaf image using Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry with the pen direct to rubber technique.  It is always fun to get 2 tones on one image. I used some so saffron ink and some of the ink left in the stamps to colour my piece of seam binding ribbon. The great sentiment is from the hostess gift for this month " Good Greetings" And I used up a few embellishments from my stash - wooden button, Cajun craze button, safety pin and timber arrow (from a project life kit). I do love the "World of Dreams" stamp set. It's so,versatile. The inside:  thanks for looking, Liz
