CASEing the Catty#23 and JAI#255 Eggs or Ovals

It's time to make Easter cards and that fits really well with the JAI challenge to use eggs or ovals. The challenge at CASE-ing the Catty is to combine stamps and accessories from both the Occasions Catalogue and the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue which ends this month. from the Occasions Catalogue: Love is Kindness and the Hello You Thinlits Dies, Crazy About You stamp set. from the Sale-a Bration Catalogue Best Ever Accessory Pack wishing you a Happy Easter too, Thanks for looking, Liz Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

FMS#178 a shaker card

The sketch from Fresly Made Sketches made me think straight away of a card I saw recently which was made by Bronwyn Eastley which I have been wanting to try. So I did!  It should have been a lot faster but I just couldn't get anything to work properly the first time. Anyway, I wanted to make a shaker card and finally got all the right pieces in the right places. I used the Sale-A-bration Set You Brighten My Day , Lost Lagoon and Pistachio Pudding cardstock and ink, Spring Flowers Embossing Folder , the Shaker frames adhesive rims and window sheets cut with the circles framelits , and the wonderful HelloYou thinlits dies. The shaker contains some small beads and sequins from the In Colour Sequins Assortment. I would have liked to add glitter but that seemed a dangerous option given how everything else went wrong initially. Maybe next time… Some Lost lagoon bakers twine was separated to give thinner threads and used to stitch on a little button and tie on the tag. T

We Stamp for Lara week 3 Colour Challenge - a tough combination! and a Fancy Fold

well sometimes the internet is agin me! Just lost a whole post ( and an hour or two, aaarrrggghhh!!!) so this will be better! My entry for WSFL colour Challenge certainly did challenge me as the Crisp Cantaloupe is a terrible colour ( in my humble opinion) In decided that since all my other entries for WSFL  have used the Hello Love stamp set that I should do that again,  which was easy since it's a great set. This Fancy Fold Card is easy and fits in a standard envelope. The base is 3 x 7" Score at 1 3/4" and 5 1/4" and also score 3/8" from each end. The glue strip goes on these little flaps. Fold the two side flaps to meet in the centre Decorate a large panel for the front, I cut mine out using the largest of the Window Frame s collections and then cut it directly down the Centre, Adhere each half to the card base on those little flaps. The inside panel for the greeting is 31/8 ' square. I used the Burlap ribbon and t

Card in a Box, JAI#254 another version

Well since I had the inks out, and since I did a few classes with a Card in a Box, and since I am known for not knowing when to stop….. I have a second card for the JAI colour challenge this week. Maybe Orange is not so hard after all. I used one of my all time favourites Summer Silhouettes , as well as the Best of Flowers daisy, and Banner Blast with the banner punch , the expressions thinlits, Painted Petals and Four You for the sentiments. thanks for looking, Liz Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

WSFL week 2 sketch challenge, and JAI#254

I have been planning (and planning …..) to make a card and participat e in this challenge all week!  So now that it is the 11th hour I have managed to get the photos sort of sorted. This is a great sketch I have also had lots if requests for engagement and wedding cards so I was glad to pull out Hello Love stamp set again. ( I just realised I used it for the first colour challenge as well) but it so super fun to play with. I have combined this with the colour challenge at Just Add Ink #254 this week which is truly a challenge for me as I find orange so intimidating, and Old Olive would have been on my list of least like colours in the WSFL first week spot challenge. The papers are quite lovely and I have been hoarding the old olive patterns DSP for far too long. a little close up - the gold foil heart does't show up so well in the photo. Just a quick message too that the team at WSFL Are SOOO close to their target of 300 participants.  So Sunda

CASEing the Catty#20 Blendabilites and Framelits

Two posts in one day - could this be the sign of one who attempts too much at once? ,,, maybe. Actually it's more about using the one opportunity to multitask, I love the concept and inspiration of using the Catalogue for ideas,  and this weeks project comes from the card on the bottom of page 18. I am not very good with the Blendabilities so it was a good reason to try them again. I have used the great set Today and Everyday , and some Wild Wasabi and silver. thanks for looking, head over to the Challenge page and see what the team of designers have all created.  Liz

We Stamp For Lara Colour Challenge and SUO#117

Well I'm so pleased to be part of the We Stamp for Lara project which started on March 1st. It's a fabulous fundraising initiative for a fellow SU Demonstrator Madonna Dunn and her daughter. They are 29 people short of their target of 300 so maybe you can join in too, REGISTER HERE So not only do you get the tutorials mailed to you every day for the whole month, but you are able to join the private Facebook group. You should see all the fabulous samples being posted there and the beautiful inspiration. I encourage you to consider joining. The first week there is an optional colour challenge- not my strength really, So I have inked up a brand new set - 'Hello Love ' and created a card which I am also entering in the Stampin' Up! Only Challeng #117 - Cards for Teens. The little flowers are from the Pictogram Punches set and matching Punch, and the ribbon and buttons are one of the cute Sale-a-Bration accessory packs which are only available until

World of Dreams , FMS#175

World of Dreams is a really beautiful stamp set. I have already entered a gift tag for FMS#175, and this one again has the sketch upside down, but it seemed to work best for this image. This simple design uses sponging and several of the current In Colours. Mossy Meadow for the plant, Blackberry Bliss ribbon -which ties so easily and sits nicely every time, and some Lost Lagoon sponging for  the moon, layered up on the beautiful Kraft Cardstock. thanks for looking, Liz Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
