CTC#125 -Creating with my Bigshot

Choosing your favourite Bigshot project from the Occasions Catalogue is a big task- there are just so many amazing thinlits and folders available. But that's the task this week for the CTC Design team so we hope you follow along and also create a project using one of your favourite bigshot tools and share it with us on our Facebook Page. In the end I have chosen to show you some projects made using the Succulents Bundle (so sad this is retiring) - but also a little SNEAK PEAK of some sentiments coming in a new set -Colorful Seasons. I created several frames for the Mother's Day markets at the Handmade Expo Markets - including one as a farewell gift for a colleague.  These Frames include lots of bits and pieces from my useful box - so some items are retired- like the Crystal buttons, The resin flowers, some of the rhinestones. But most are new and some are even so new they aren't available yet - like the Sentiments, (From a new set called Colorful Seasons ) the ...

CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean. I have lots of photos for you today to try and show off some of the designs, but it's not easy to capture and they always look so much better in real life. I have purchased two packs - the Happy Haunting pack on page 47, which I was inspired to get purely from the background piece on the Lighthearted Leaves card on page 44. I don't celebrate Halloween, nor am I usually all that partial to Orange shades, but maybe that's changing! because I really like the designs. The pack has several papers that are specifically...

Hello Doily Mother's Day and a wedding card

I have recently purchased the  Hello Doily  stamp after seeing it used by a customer for her wedding invitations. It was stunning. So I have been playing with embossing the image with the Pewter Embossing  Powder. It's beautiful . This card uses Regal Rose card stock as the base, embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder in the big shot. The doily is heat embossed on Crumb Cake card stock. I didnt have any seam binding left so died some white taffeta ribbon with crumb cake ink and loosely gathered it onto a piece of sticky strip.  Hemp thread, a crystal button and some of the soft Flower Trim roses which have been sponged with Regal Rose were added. Lastly I stamped a butterfly from  Kindness Matters  and 2 leaves from  French Foliage  in Certainly Celery, which I hand cut out and mounted with dimensionals. Happy mothers day is   is stamped from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set. I will miss the Regal Rose colour when it retires...

Established Elegance and Vintage Verses from Sale-a Bration

I Just love this Set. This also uses the Vintage Verses from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. I did get some inspiration for this card from one I saw on Pinterest, (from the very talented Heather Klump at hlkdownstairsdesigns.blogspot.com ) but I have put my own vintage perspective on it, and of course the Tiny Tags which I love to add to almost everything.  I have used Glossy Accents on the Primrose Petals standout Mannequin which adds a nice dimension. The Crystal Buttons seem perfect too. The lovely new Flower Trim from the new Summer Mini Catalogue are perfect and very easy to work with. Hope you enjoy looking at this one, I certainly had fun making it. contact me if you would like to order any of these gorgeous products, thanks for looking , Liz
