Babywipe technique and Forever Fern

As I said- once you have a Babywipe palette you can stamp a large number of images. These are few more of the thankyou cards in this series. No Wattle in this group of cards, just greenery. You can see the wattle cards using this set and this technique published yesterday. A little touch of colour and interest on the inside as well - and of course NEVER a naked envelope. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Forever Fern Bundle (English) [ 154094 ] $94.50 Forever Fern Cling Stamp Set (English) [ 152559 ] $42.00 Flowers Of Friendship Cling Stamp Set [ 155358 ] $37.00 Jar Punch [ 152703 ] $31.00 Shimmery White A4 Card Stock [ 121717 ] $17.50 Sahara Sand A4 Card Stock [ 121695 ] $15.25 Bumblebee A4 Cardstock [ 153082 ] $15.25 Bumblebee Classic Stampin' Pad [ 153116 ] $13.00...

Australian themed wattle bunches using Forever Fern

I have been asked to create some cards with a rural Australian theme which is quite challenging given the limited number of Stampin' Up! products which fit this criteria. However I have had a good play with some of the images from Forever Fern stampset, and created a few cards with a bunch of wattle in a jar. I had lots of fun creating these. The wattle is stamped in Bumble Bee, and the bobbly spray is also cut from this Cardstock. To get the variegation in the leaves I used the Baby Wipe Technique and a range of green inks to create the stamp pad. One of these jars is copper, and the other is watercolour paper which I have painted with an aqua painter to look like green glass. The forever Fern Stamp set is such a great versatile set, and while I had the baby wipe palette out I stamped a whole bunch of leaves. The woodgrain paper is now retired but it was the perfect background for my wattle bunches. I thought these images looked like eucalyptus leaves hanging from the gum tree, so...

Social Stamping this week's theme- Sympathy

Welcome to this week's Kelly's Social Stamping blog where the theme is Sympathy. Never easy cards to make, but important ones to give and send. I generally opt for neutral themes and tones and have used a the Forever Fern set (again) with some simple embossing. The sentiment is a retired one but I love the simplicity and clean lines and really, minimal words are all you need.  I have also embossed the envelope for this card and love the effect. In so many occasions in life it is the power of connection that supports each of us, so Sympathy cards certainly have their place in our world. Being able to create a card that allows for connection to another who is suffering is a precious thing. Those small acts of giving keep us together on this journey. I'm not sure if you feel the same. Next on the hop this week is Michelle . I look forward to seeing everyone's creations, sharing inspiration is enriching. Thankyou to everyone who share so generously in this creative hobby o...

Colour INKspiration # 82

Welcome back for another round of Colour INKspiration, and what a striking and happy combination we have tonight. Black and White and gold with Just Jade and Melon Mambo.  I am trying very hard to mix old and new and use up some of my stash of treasures- so I can make room for new treasures of course! I am also trying hard to be time efficient since it's such a precious resource. So using Memories and More cards ticks both these boxes and I used 2 on the one card today. These cards and the white sprig are from the retired Petals and More set but I'm so glad I had held onto them.  All the colour comes from the beautiful new Forever Fern set which is a pantry staple if you ask me. Stamped off the images are just as beautiful like on the envelope here. I had another large card which was perfect for the inside. This was a very quick card to assemble, and the colours just make me happy. I do hope you create a project to share with us on our Facebook page using these colours. You ha...

CI#79 Rich and Regal colours for another Jar of Flowers and an exciting postage discovery.

This week we have a really rich colour palette which did challenge me! I don't usually use such strong colours together so to tone it down I painted a piece of watercolour paper with the Navy, Blackberry and Merlot and used the framelits to cut out several leaves using the gorgeous Forever Fern and Forever Flourishing framelits.  I punched out a second jar then held it in the punch to make it shorter. This was then painted and sponged to give some depth. I just love the shaker filled with sparkly bits! I was super excited to discover that the card will fit inside our Acetate Boxes (p152 of the New Catalogue), which means that you can post your gorgeous shaker card. In Australia the box is classed as a medium letter and will require 2 postage stamps instead of 1. It's really that easy! So for $1.22 for the box and $2.20 for postage it's not expensive to post something really special. Here's what's left of my watercolour piece -I even have...
