As part of my post renovation TIDY UP, I am finally finishing some old blog posts and sharing them with you -  I am calling it my "Going Backwards to Go Forwards" process. I hope you get a little bit of motivation and inspiration from these recent samples which I created and then forgot! I am keen to share them with you so I can start afresh. The wonderful pre-printed tags and elements make creating this style of card very easy. I used one of the tags to create the sliding lock mechanism, and another to decorate the inside.  The card closed with the tag slider in place to keep it closed. The inside panel is decorated but is hidden behind the sliding lock when it is closed. Lift the flap and there is more cheer inside- just punch out and stick the elements from the DSP paper pack. This is the second version of one of the cards we made at Card Class recently. It's a Sliding Lock Mechanism card - although it doesn't really lock, it just keeps it nicely closed and neat. Yesterday's post shows the pink version but this one is great as a masculine option. You can find the dimensions and more samples there. Card Class June 2025 The Sliding Mechanism keeps the two side panels closed and creates a nice surprise. I love the Grow with Love stampset- it's an online exclusive but is so sweet with the gorgeous label image and die, lots of herb stamps and some sentiments. The coordinating dies are a bonus. Sadly it is now on the last chance list, so it is available until sold out. Here is the card open. You can see the sliding mechanism is the smaller stamped panel. The inside card in this sample is Strawberry Slush, and the card base is Misty Moonlight. I stamped the script stamp in Strawberry Slush (stamped off) and the Rosemary Thyme and Mint in Lost Lagoon. The DSP strips on the front side panels are Strawberry Slush to coordinate with the cardstock mats.  The printed sentiments from "Greetings for All" make it super easy to add a message to any card, and when the card is closed and locked this message is hidden.
