Four Panel Accordion Fold using Thoughful Journey for Card Class June 2025, Tons of samples

Fancy Folds are a bit of a thing for me and we made these at class this week. Everyone's card was slightly different, using different papers. The main thing is to get the patterned paper pieces lined up with the image flowing seamlessly across the page. This way the colours will flow nicely when the card is closed.  The directions are available from my post on 06.06.25 There are no instructions on this page, just lots of samples and different ideas using the same layout and different papers. As you can see there are lots of different looks from the same layout. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you give this card a try. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

Dainty Delights using the "Quarter Sheet with Front Flap" Fancy Fold Card

January Card Class used the Dainty Delights Bundle for some different cards, including this one which I have called the "Quarter Sheet with Front Flap". I don't know what this card design is called but I have given it a name so I can find it and the instructions and measurements for future. It's not very imaginative but I think I can find it when I go looking for "that" design! You can find it too by going to the PAGE marked Fancy Folds at the top of this blog page- I have a list and links to all the fun folds I love to make. This one uses a Quarter of a sheet of A4 Card as your card base, and a narrow folded flap adhered over a DSP mat layer. I have used this a lot for Christmas cards in 2022 and find it a great card to show off some pretty paper. I use predominantly metric measurements but this one uses DSP in 4" strips which is an economical way to cut your paper so I have included those measurements here too. Here's the rest of the measurements...

Today's version uses the gorgeous colour palette for CI#137. It also uses Dainty Delight and Amazing Year picture credit   https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9b/51/6b/9b516be3f9180f3cbe21e982501e4cbf.jpg The gorgeous Dainty Delight bundle is so easy to use. I have a link to the imperial version but the card we made fits a standard C6 (metric). Here are the measurements. Instructions: Assemble the 2 panels first. Burnish your M-V-M-V folds. At this point it doesn't matter which side you choose as the front, as the card is the same front and back Adhere the middle panel first with even space above and below. Align the left edge 2-3 mm from the first Valley fold. T'hen open the card flat and adhere the front panel, keeping top and bottom edges lined up with the first panel you attached. Be mi...

CI#136 Dainty Delight With a fresh New Year Resolution - the upcycle project!

How beautiful are the stunning new Dainty Delight Dies? - available in the Mini catalogue and coordinating with the Dainty Delight Stampset and the free paper available with purchase as part of Sale a Bration. I was inspired by Jan Clothier in the Colour INKspiration of #135 and knew I had to add the dies to my collection. I have loved playing with them.. There is a beautiful leaf spray and some delightful tiny flowers as well as outline dies for some of the floral sprays in the stamp set. I love the dandelion shape, it looks great no matter what paper you cut it from? to start the new Year we have a fabulous colour palette. This challenge will run for 4 weeks so share your creation with us using these colours. picture credit  https://www.digsdigs.com/crazy-pastel.../pictures/161647/   The DSP is just beautiful and I will have some samples to share using the paper over the coming days.
