CI#185 Easter Blessings with a Circle Pop Up Fold and One for the Books

Happy Easter - can't believe that it's here already this year!  I do love a fancy fold so this is a fun card. Sadly, the " For the Books" Stampset and dies are retiring but I will be keeping them in my stash. How cute are the little tassels? You can still purchase these and there are l oads of other retiring specials available. The Rainbow and teensy flowers are from the Thoughtful Moments dies, and perfect for my card. Welcome back for another challenge at Colour INKspiration.  How cute is this week's colour Inspo pic? Her project is stunning so do check it out. Check out the Facebook group for some more inspiration using these delightful colours. And don't forget to share a picture of what you create using them. We just love to see how many different des...

Happy Easter packaging with CI#119 colours

Happy Easter to you all. Hope it is relaxed and filled with special moments with family and friends. I have taken the colour challenge this week as inspiration for decorating my little Easter Egg packages. Using isopropyl rubbing alcohol and a few drops of each of the challenge colours, along with a few drops of white shimmer paint (sadly now retired) I mixed up 4 containers and spritzed the egg cartons in a random pattern. Calypso Coral, Magenta Madness, Fresh Freesia and Pool Party made a lovely palette. Such a fresh and pretty combination. I decorated 3 boxes with the different colours and also spritzed a sheet of Shimmery White cardstock which I then cut up into 2" strips for the tags. To finish them off I simply added some gold foil by smearing some Tombow glue in lines and swirls on the carton, waited until it was tacky and brushed some gold flakes over the areas with adhesive. If I knew it was this easy I may have been gilding everything in recent times! Such a simple techn...

Quick Easter Treats with "Hey Chick" and some retiring products

This morning I whipped up a few small gifts for the staff in the office. (before my husband went to work, super quick) I love using up bits and pieces that I have been saving  (no it's not hoarding if you use them, no matter how long it takes you to get round to it!) And though the gift is very small the wrapping says "You Matter"! Lots of lucky people have the "Hey Chick" set in their stash now, and this is a great way to use it for Easter. I ran out of time for baking, so each bag contains a selection of Easter eggs, but it's not really about the chocolate, it's about giving. These use up some retiring ribbon and twine and DSP in the Cucumber Crush range, As well as some old ribbon and retired paper.  It's amazing what you can do with the Triple Banner Punch, some string and a stapler Cucumber Crush Melon Mambo These days I love to have a stash of little paper bags on hand. These are not Stampin' Up! but they were the...

CTC123 Easter

What a busy weekend- I can't believe Easter is almost here, and with so much to do before then I wanted something not too complicated to make for Easter this year. I'm quite excited because 2 of our children are coming home for the short break. It will be lovely to have them around for a few days. I always try to get lots of baking done- and of course there are traditional recipes to whip up. So I need some cards to go with their gifts. This is a style of card that I have always admired but seldom made so I was pleased to finally get these created.  SOOO easy! Why haven't I done this before? Their little envelopes will contain a small gift to go along with the eggs! I liked the layout of the card on the top left of page 27 of the occasions catalogue- just the simple strip of DSP on the lower half of the card, and a colour banner behind the label with the sentiment on it, so that inspired the outside of the bag. The pull out card is similarly simple. I cut the w...
