Onstage swaps 2016- CTC#105 Fancy Frost

What a fabulous experience ONstage 2016 has been. Over 600 demonstrators from all over the globe in Brisbane for 21/2 days of sharing ideas, learning new skills, business and leadership training and a chance to see the new catalogue which will go live January 4. I can't tell you what will be in it but I can tell you it's amazing and has some gorgeous suites.

Welcome to the hop for CASEing the Catty for this week - taking inspiration from the Fancy Frost pages of the Holiday Catalogue. There are such beautiful products on this suite. I used these to create my swaps for our CTC team. You will have come from Kelly's amazing blog, but if you get lost you will find the whole crew here.

I love the Frotsed Medallions set and heat embossed this with clear embossing powder on Tip Top Taupe cardstock which I then cut out with the circle framelits. I was inspired by the card on the right on page36 where the circle is under some vellum. My card is a gatefold card, and I stamped the inside of each flap using Tip Top Taupe for a tone on tone effect. I stamped the sentiment with Tip Top Taupe and I love the leaf fronds which radiate so I inked one with a marker and used it to highlight the sentiment. I also inked the outline frond from the New Year sentiment stamp and layered it next to the first solid colour. The colour matched the label from the front and the coordinating thread used to tie the card closed
The gates are covered with panels from the beautiful Fancy Frost DSP ( love this paper). I layered the circle medallion on a coloured label.

Thanks for hopping around today, next on the hop is my friend Krissy, she has such a lovely style

Don't forget we'd love to see what you create too with inspiration from these pages

thanks for looking,
Liz

Merriest Moments #simplestamping Project 2 and 3 Easy cards

This weekend I held my Christmas Card Class and catalogue launch showcasing the new Christmas Catalogue. It was a great day and we did 6 projects using the  Merriest Moments Stampset .  I created several projects designed to show that the set is brilliant on it's own.  Since not everyone owns a die cutting machine it is good to look at ways to utilise the stamps. There are lots of gorgeous samples around which focus on the Hybrid dies and embossing folder - and don't get me wrong they are an amazing product to use - but I have a few cards which just use the stamps, this is the second and third. This card uses the Holly Leaf - either medium or large- and random stamping across the card. The berries just tuck in perfectly and are easy to line up. In between the Holly I stamped the leaf frond with the rounded leaves using Sahara Sand, (anyone know what this is called?) and then filled in the spaces with the little "dottage" stamp using versamark and Heat Embossing with

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car

Triangle gift Box instructions for CTC#89 Christmas Packaging

Hello, I ran out of time to record the instructions for my project at CASEing the Catty#89 (busy week with markets etc)  so as promised here is the original inspiration and my version. I hope you give it a try. So I searched my Pinterest boards and finally found the link again here . It is a  picture tutorial in  German.  No matter which way I fold mine it doesn't look like Annika's - My flat faces are isosceles triangles, whereas hers appear to be right-angle triangles (I had to go back to basic maths to explain this to myself -you gotta love google!) At any rate, once folded and tied it looks quite pretty and I will use it as is.  so here are my instructions- very similar to Annika's: cut a piece of A4 Cardstock  in a 15 cm strip (use the full length of the A4) score parallel to the long edge at 4.5 cm rotate 90* and score at  7cm, 14cm, 21cm, 28 cm these vertical scores will be VALLEY folds make a mark at the top edge of the page at
