The Beautiful Christmas Star stamp. Heat embossed white on white card, sponged over the top with Sahara Sand Ink and Peace on earth stamped in Silver ink.  The Gorgeous Champagne glimmer paper behind really sets this off. a simple pearl and it's done. Thanks to all the wonderful people who supported our recent fundraiser - Card Making and a Cuppa for Cancer. The Cancer Council donated the use of their fantastic Education Room, and Stampin' Up! donated an AMAZING box of retired products which we were able to parcel up into 33 fabulous prizes for a silent auction, as well as a terrific raffle. Several very generous Domonstrators donated ready made cards which we sold, and  I had a wonderful group of 3 helpers who each manned a table with a different card design. We had 24 participants make 4 cards each, and some scrumptious food donated for afternoon tea. Guests helped themselves to snacks throughout the afternoon and progressed through each station at their leasure. Donna and Mackenzie did a brilliant job in the catering and everyone had loads of fun.  A few guests made product purchases and the hostess dollars raised form the party also went to Donna. have been having fun with the Flower Shop Set and matching Pansy Punch. So easy to creat a quick set of cards. I pilled out my brights set of stamps and used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo. Also used the First Edition DSP - and stamped some Gorgeous Grunge on the background pieces (not very good photography), then some strips of the beautiful Black and Vanilla Modern Medley, and a few sequins or candy dots to finish. I have had the Thinking of You sentiment for a long time but it is currently availalbe as part of the "Wetlands" set. The second set is similar but uses Petite Pairs as the sentiments and the Artisan Label Punch for the label. I love the magazine holder style of card box and often make these as a presentation box for sets of cards. Thanks for looking, Liz

Well I was quite pleased with how this one turned out. My Favourite Doily stamp was heat embossed with white powder onto some Primrose Petals paper and then embellished with a selection of buttons and some seam binding ribbon. I used the Loving Thoughts stamps for the words of inspiration, and I stamped the mat border with French Foliage in Crumb Cake which i then sponged over the images. The pink scroll is a tag cut from some of the Print Poetry paper.  thanks for looking, Liz

Another in the collection I finished recently. Similar technique and same paper stack as the last one. Love that hexagon punch- have a few ideas for a regular square patchwork  next. The main difference with this one is that it sits in a flat frame, unlike #1 which has lots of depth with added buttons and bows etc. So to sit flat it needed a different foal point - hence the gratitude saying. The other main feature with this one is that I "aged" the white mat by sponging with Crumb Cake and some random stamping with the script and postcode images from the French Foliage set. Again I apologise for the poor photography but  I think you can get the idea.

I have been creating a few paper patchwork art pieces and just LOVE the Hexagon punch. I used the Calendar Papers that were available in last years Christmas mini catalogue. They are all gorgeous patterns and just looked like a patchwork to me! This is a selection of random patches glued to cover a card base, then I have run the entire piece through the Bigshot with an embossing folder to give it that depth of texture and make it look like a fabric patchwork . The white mat frame was too stark so I have sponged this with some River Rock ink to age the look and soften the feel. All the embellisments are Stampin' Up! with the exception of the pearl hatpin and the yellow paper rose. Regals buttons, Natural buttons, Crystal Buttons, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Seam Binding Ribbon, Tea Time Trinkets, Linen Thread, Butterfly Punch, HEarts sizzles etc I love buttons and trinkets and had fun putting this together. The fabulous Dawn Olschefski is a great teacher and has loads of video tutorials. I recently watched this one and was inspired to make it straight away. I have used the Petite Pairs greetings, the swirl from Everything Eleanor and that great numbers set, embossed with Pewter The inside and the envelope I made to match, since US sizes don't fit our Regular envelopes.
