This weekend's shaker class was a lot of fun and this card turns out to follow the PPA#308 sketch. We made 2 versions, this is the Pool Party version stepped up to match the sketch. They at such bright fun colours, and a shaker is always a fun card to receive. I have trouble with sequins and static but I find the punched Cardstock shapes work a treat. We were using the DSP from the Cherry on top paper stack. The sentiments are all from the Confetti Celebration set which is very versatile Bermuda Bay Pool Party Cucumber Crush Crushed Curry Whisper White The other version was a green and gold version. I am loving the Umbrella stamps and framelits, and you all know I love the emboss resist paper. I just added the blue sponging in a graduated depth to get an ombre effect. The Irresistibly Floral DSP  has these groovy spots and a striped page as well as the floral pages. So fun! Flirty Flamingo Night of Navy Cucumber Crush And who says umbrella's have to be pointing up? The little bow comes from the Mini treat thinlits set, and I gave the "friend "text a little more definition by drawing over it with the fine tip glue pen. When it dries it is glossy and raised and looks really nice. thanks for looking,  Liz

Some more of the cards I made for the markets recently.These are made using some old stamps but could easily adapted with new sets- I was just continuing on my crusade of using up 'bits' that I have prepared in the past. Some of the colours are new - Dapper Denim, a hint of Cucumber Crush, and some are old  like So Saffron .The new In Colour Enamel Shapes are great. I watercoloured the panels on Shimmer White cardstock and stitched them to the card base. The girls cards used pink Pirouette and FlirtyFlamingo.  And I added some interest with Timeless Textures across the bottom thnaks for looking,  Liz

Well I didn't quite get posted for CTC#85 this week, but this is the card I was going to share, based on the cute monotone onesie at the bottom of page  59. I have been wanting to try this technique for a little while and I'm quite surprised at how easy it is.   It involves using the marker pens to add the ink to the rubber, and for these I have simply drawn  lines across the solid rubber stamp to create horizontal stripes on the romper. Pretty darn easy really.  continuing on my crusade of using up old bits and pieces I have used some scraps of white on white resist paper and sponged in blue to create a coordinating background since I din't have any DSP to match. I do love the layering squares framelits, they give such a nice fine elegant border. Welcome back to this weeks Sunday night CASEing the CATTY bloghop. This week we are looking at Love & Sympathy cards and projects on pages 44-55. I have chosen the cute card on page 54 using the super sweet Weather Together Bundle. Today we did the baby wipe technique in class so I made this card using Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party and Pacific Point inks. The variegation in the colours is a really nice effect and works well with stamps of a medium size.  Although it works best with solid image stamps I was really pleased with this line image version. To create a solid patch of colour to stamp the sentiment stamp I simply used one of the larger stamps from Timeless Texture stamped repeatedly to cover a small area. I really love the script in this set and the "Thanks" had gone unnoticed until today but I love it I used a scrap of the retired Kraft and Silver DSP  which already has the raindrops on it  - see if you can spot my mistake...

This gorgeous card was made by my friend Heather. She has such a talent for colouring and she wanted to share this card with the CTC Challenge this week but since she doesn't currently have a blog I'm posting it for her.
