How cute is the 2021-2022 kitchen set : "What's Cookin'?" ? I think I have bought most cooking sets over the years, (still have most of them) and this one is just as much fun to play with. It can be used for simple cards but this was a very relaxing way to spend an evening, just colouring and cutting and rearranging things on my windowsill.( CASEd from Susan Wong at the Crafty Carrot Collective.) I paired the kitchen set with the Plentiful Plants and Bloom Where You are Planted paper which is the perfect accompaniment. Perhaps this is a little pot of herbs? Inside carries the colours through on a little timber shelf. The Charcuterie Board is adhered flat but everything else is layered up for dimension. So much fun. The timber /woodgrain DSP is from a retired pack but there are plenty similar which you could use.  I have another sample using this set which I will share tomorrow. Here's the products I used. Hello again, back with another colour combination .  Let's face it- Pink is always going to be a winner,  and when you pair it with white, silver and gray it's hard to beat. I love the new cooking set and the dies are super cute. I added a little bit of sparkle of course, and the silver heart charms are on the discount list available until the end of June when the mini catalogue finishes. Sad of course but no doubt there will be something just as charming to win us over. How awesome is nature to provide us with so many gorgeous colours.  These galahs are ever so stylish. The font in this set is very easy on the eye, and I had to use the Happiness is Homemade sentiment on the inside. The Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack has the gorgeous gold diecuts but it also has a sheet of self adhesive sequins which have the most lovely pink glimmer. I can highly recommend them. I have recently made an accordion album as a farewell gift and had lots of scraps left over- perfect for both the Just Add Ink#559 and the GDP#296 challenges this week. I don't like throwing away beautiful paper and this is a perfect way to utilise and show off all those gorgeous patterns. I  adhere all the strips to a base piece of scrap card then trim it to size and for added depth run it through an embossing folder which helps to keep the small pieces bonded to the base, and makes it feel like it is supposed to be a single element. The Stitched Greenery die is a new toy and I love it.  The sentiment was from my useful box on the desk and the vellum element is from a retired kit, it adds just the right amount of subtleness as a background and makes me feel good for using up leftovers. Do you get the same sense of satisfaction when that happens? Love the silver accent on the vellum and the amazing detail in the stitched leaves. Definitely a quick and easy card (my favourite)...

Using a sentiment only stamp set allows you to let the DSP to be the star of the show.  I created a set using The Sweet Symmetry DSP as part of display for my last class, you can find that post here . This is the same idea using the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP- it's so easy to use. Here you can see the box lying on its side containing the envelopes and 2 of the cards. For the thinking of you card I stamped the Sunny sentiments on the inside. Each sentiment is used once in the set, the only other stamping is on the envelopes. All other plants are fussy cut from the DSP. Minimal supplies, maximum effect. The Cello bags are the perfect size, it's a snug fit so you don't want any height in your embellishments on the front of the box, Seal the base with some washi tape and use mini glue dots to hold the top corner "ears" folded down onto the side of the pack- just like wrapping a present.
