CASEing the Catty #3 Birthdays

The Catalogue is always a great place for inspiration and I have been wanting to join in this new Challenge site but have only found time this week to jump in. This week we are asked to CASE anything form the Birthday sections from p42-59.
I love the simplicity of the design on page 55, and I absolutely love the new KRAFT cardstock so this was an easy choice for me. I have used the new Photopolymer stamp set Bordering Blooms in Wild Wasabi, and have used strips of both Wild Wasabi and Pool Party, embossed with the Delicate Designs embossing folder. The layered flower uses the Pansy Punch and Flower Shop stamp set in Strawberry Slush and the Blossom Flower punch behind it, while the Birthday Wishes sentiment comes from Four You. Add a little bit of bakers twine in island Indigo to finish it off. Easy! Would be a great class card.
Thanks for looking and check out the great Birthday ideas by the design team at CASEing the Catty

This version is a narrower card and uses Lost Lagoon, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Sluch Twine which has been separated into strands- looks ok but is fiddly! And I have also stamped the flowers form Bordering Blooms on the inside. Not sure which version I prefer. Thanks for looking, Liz

  1. Both cards are lovely Elizabeth, possibly the first version is slightly ahead in my preferences. It's great to see all the possible variations from one design, and I agree, perfect for a class. Thanks for joining in at CASE-ing the Catty.

    1. Thankyou Rachel, yes the first one is my preference too - love the look of white ink on Kraft but I'm not quite able to pull it off yet! But then I do love Green too!

  2. I love the two cards you have created from the card design on page 55. I've just added Bordering Blooms to my stash and love what you have done with that gorgeous leafy vine. Thanks for joining us at CASE-ing the Catty.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car
