CTC#37 Baby

Having completely deleted by original post by accident this may be short!!

Welcome to the bloghop for this week. There are so many great design ideas in the baby section and it's great to see what all the other designers have come up with.  You will have come from Monique's beautiful card using the same stamps. Be sure to check out their creations. If you get lost along the way you can find a complete list at CASEing the Catty here.

I have been inspired by the packaging bag on page 35,  but have turned it into a card. I have been waiting for a set like this to come out and I'm so glad SU have created this as I am regularly asked for Baptism/ Christening cards. They are quite hard to make but this set makes it really easy.

I have created both a baby boy (Marina Mist) and a baby girl (Pink Pirouette) version. The crystal buttons really set them off I think.
I am also SO happy because Stampin' Up! have finally released a thick white cardstock which is perfect for making white cards. The Whisper White is beautiful and smooth to stamp on but hasn't, in my opinion, got enough oomph to be a good card base. This new cardstock is fabulous, and I  think I will now be making a lot more white cards. Hooray!
Can I 'do' clean and simple - well that is a challenge!

The scoring plate is fabulous for adding simple straight texture embossing. Elegant and understated
Starburst heat embossed with clear powder and sponging and stamping over the top.

thanks for looking, be sure to check out the talented Rebecca here,
Don't forget you can also join in by adding your picture and a comment on the main page and someone will add you to the bloghop.

cheers, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car
