Colour INKspiration - a NEW colour challenge blog. Getting excited for the start!

I have been very keen to tell you about this but had to wait until I had some time to create something new for you to see! So today I have for you A Sneak Peak with new products, AND an invitation for you to join with some other creative people around the world!   I have some exciting news to share; I’m on the Colour INKspiration Crew! It consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.  There’s also a Facebook group for Stampin' Up! ® enthusiasts who would like to share their paper craft projects using the colour combinations. Here’s the deal - Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop. Our first one starts on Wednesday, 11th January . Members of the group

CTC#109, inspiration from the Catalogues

Hello again for out last hop for the year. And what a busy time it's been. This week we are profiling something inspired by any image in the catalogue. I have been surprised by how easy it is to use the Kraft Tag a Bags and the Petite Cafe Bags, but when I first got them I wasn't sure what to do with them. There are plenty of pictures in the catalogues to use for inspiration.pages 37, 42, 44, 56, 58, 64, 93, 95, 104,109 are only some of the pages with inspiration on them. You can stamp on the bags, add paper, stamped images, cutouts lace, doilies, acetate....anything you can think of. Since we are all in a hurry to get everything finished at this time of year I was able to quickly wrap my baking gifts for our staff Christmas bake swap. It's a great idea where we each bake our Christmas specialty and swap plates or parcels so we each end up with a whole lot of different handmade goodies. These are pretty simple because I was pushed for time ( who would have thought???!

CTC#108- Holiday Kits as inspiration

HI and welcome - as the year draw to a close and everyone is super busy this is a short post. You can find the full crew here . Please hop all the way around to catch everyones projects inspired by the kits section in the catalogue. On the hop is before me the amazing  Kellie . She always has such fun projects. I didn't purchase any of the kits this year but I fell in love with the Tin of Tags stamp set which was designed to go with the tin of tags kit. One of my good friends purchased the kit and had a wonderful time creating together with her daughter both the stitched cards and the tiny tags. Such a great way to bring people together. I must confess I was inspired on Pinterest with a similar layout for this card but I can't find it again to give credit for the original. My version is a little different but was a simple design for novice stampers at a craft group recently where some friends asked me to design a class especially for them so they could give some handma

Christmas Decorations- Christmas in a jar!

These are some of the Christmas Decorations I have made for the Handmade Expo Markets this weekend. They are obviously not all Stamping' Up! products for the jute twine, the baubles and some of the ribbon and bling, but I was really happy to be able to use up quite a few retired SU items which I have been hoarding!! And I am totally in love with pastels for my home this year but I did make some traditional coloured items and a few in fantastic copper! Sweet Sugarplum Mint Macaron Soft Sky The Mint Macaroon ribbon is just so lovely for tying. The Metal rim tags retired a long time ago but I still have quite a few, so I used some of these. The thread is individual strands from the wide Burlap ribbon (also retired) - it's a bit thicker than the linen thread. I used Soft Sky ink and alcohol and some shimmer paint (I wish we could still get this fabulous product) spritzed onto the tags. The letters are cut using the Typeset Alphabet big dies  (yep, al
