CTC #185 Best Route inspiration pages

Welcome back for another week at CASEing the Catty as we work our way through the different sections of the catalogue. This week we look at pages 52-65, and my inspriation picture came from page 59 and the silhouette on the multicoloured background of watercolour wiht the Enjoy Life set.

At least - that was where I started!

I have always loved silhouette images and this set appeals to me for both its images and sentiments.
I have been having a lot of success using the stamparatus and doing Multicoloured stamping.  So instead of watercolour I thought I'd try a multicoloured panel.
Yesterday's post has all the instructions for how to do this (you can find it here.)
I LOVE the Bokeh dots stamp images- this one is the starry background, isn't it gorgeous.

So from there I switched up the colours and the stampset but still used the multicoloured panel and the silhouette image, but this time the tall tree from Rooted in Nature. Here's a photo collage of the steps I used - i used both marker and sponge dauber to add this time.

I quite like the effect of the starry sky.

Thanks for looking today, if you have any questions about the technique just leave me a comment. I hope you try it - but be warned - you may get inky and have to be very careful not to smudge your piece  - I may have had a few discarded pieces along the way....

Don't forget we love to see what you create using the same pages as inspiration. Just post a photo to our Facebook page.

Next this week on the hop is Sandra

Before me this week is Rachel

I hope you have a creative week and remember,

"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
