A girl can never have too many flowers!! GDP#175, and SUO#216

The gorgeous new floral Romance Suite is delightful and I'm amazed at how beautiful the framelits are - I really shouldn't be amazed because all the SU products are such wonderful quality, but there is something extra lovely about this set. I love the detail cutting out the tiny pieces between the sprigs of foliage.

Here's the card recipe

  • Heat embossed the image onto watercolour paper with white embossing powder
  • watercoloured using my aquapainter with Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, and Berry Burst inkpads and Fresh Fig Marker for the sprigs
  • cut a rectangle stitched framelit for a panel of navy from the card sets
  • embossed with polka dot basics.
  • dragging technique with the navy inkpad
  • sentiment and framelit from wood words for the tag
  • remnant of Melon Mambo ribbon and strands from white hemp ribbon

I am entering this in the challenge at the Global Design Project #175

 SUOC:216 Flowers

I have lots more ideas using this set and need to give up work so I can get a proper return on my investment in new products!!
Or at least clear off my desk so I can start again- hehe- I know you know what I mean!

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"

cheers, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
